Just flashed MacDonalds in the world unsexiest peephole bra - share your parental lows?

Oh dear! So on way to in laws. DS 4months in back, DP driving so I can express. DS wakes after an hour to spectacularly fill his nappy - complete Apoocalypse requiring a stop at the services. I took DS into the MacDonalds to change him leaving DP to scrub the car seat. Had to wait outside the changing loo and noticed a few looks but assumed this was due to a poo soaked and smelly baby. It wasn't until DP came I join me that he pointed out my top was pulled down and as I was wearing my home fashioned "expressing bra" (sports bra with nipple holes cut out - means I can express without having to hold the pump). This meant I was nipples out in MacDonalds!!! The shame! Feel this is a low point in terms of my modesty and self esteem! Grin Anyone care to share theirs?....

We do a popular swimming class for babies and one of the girls comes with her sad who must be late 60's and every single week the poor bloke gets a view of my boobs as dd has a habit of shoving be foot into my costume and pulling the front down.

My ds is 4 today, we were in town the other day and he was having a tantrum and pulled down my leggings in the middle of the shopping centre flashing my nice pink granny pants. He thought it was hilarious I was furious lol

mjmooseface · 08/09/2014 11:38

Haha oh dear! I think I would've died of embarrassment! For you, if I'd seen, and also if it had been me! ALSO, I totally would've told you!!! Can't believe no one else did, tbh! lol

I have a story that is nowhere near as extreme as nipple holes in bra but last month, we took DS to a soft play centre for the first time!

He loved, we loved it. It was a barrel of larfs!

Then, I picked up my son to go on the 'Big Frame' and he wriggled a bit including sticking his foot in my top and pulling it all of the way down so I exposed one whole boob to a soft play centre-ful of kids and parents!

Eek!

I haven't been back since yet!!!

Tapewormuprising · 08/09/2014 11:54

Oddly, if it was your entire boob out, i probably wouldn't have batted an eyelid if you had a baby in tow.

The cut out nipple hole really makes it for me :D

Didactylos · 08/09/2014 12:54

I opened the curtains this morning to be faced with the window cleaner
he muttered something apologetic, I smiled and shrugged
curtains were shut at 11 am because i was feeding 6 week old side lying and am a lazy slovenly mare

what I didnt realise until Iturned to the mirror was that my breast was still hanging out one side of the feeding top I was wearing

Windowcleaner still hasnt shown up asking to be paid, though he knows I am in
Do you reckon Ill get this months clean as a freebee? Grin
at least he didnt fall of the ladder

fishandlilacs · 08/09/2014 14:32

I flashed the bin man when breastfeeding ds. He's always extra nice to me nowadays

mjmooseface · 08/09/2014 14:40

Didactylos Do let us know if he does come asking to be paid! lol

I was smugly pleased that I had managed to discreetly feed DS at a meeting. I only realised afterwards that whilst I had kept my norks modestly covered, I had let my exposed post natal belly, in all its vast, wobbly, stripey glory, droop serenely over my waistband uncovered by my hoiked-up shirt.

kentishgirl · 08/09/2014 15:23

I was in a festival loo (one of those blue plastic cabin ones like you see at roadworks) with my foot up on the side, facing front, inserting a tampon, when a man rushed down the row yanking on all the doors. My door was the one that opened. In front of queue of ooooh about 200 people waiting for a loo.

cailindana · 08/09/2014 16:11

I was in Ikea when DS was about 4 months. At this stage I was pretty blase about bfing, so sat down in the cafe, fed him, then popped him back in the buggy and vegetated briefly with my free coffee. Mid-vegetation I noticed a man staring at me, which I ignored, until I realised I hadn't put my boob back in and was sitting there reclining cabbagely with no baby in sight and one boob dangling out! I was so bloody tired I just put it back in and carried on drinking my coffee :)

Fiddlerontheroof · 08/09/2014 16:48

My son, then a two year old shot out of a toilet cubicle (door that opens out) at heathrow airport while I was mid wee...leading to me in a mid finish...almighty lunge after him with trousers round ankles, running after him desperatly doing them up...trying to catch him, in front of an enormous queue of ladies waiting....

tomanyanimals · 08/09/2014 18:13

Walking through the Trafford centre when my six week old Ds pulled my top down whilst I was trying sort his bottle out I didn't notice till my friend who was male kicked off laughing and said well he enjoys a show I did wondere why people were looking at me and smiling :)

Erm . . . do you not think perhaps that's why he attends the class Every. Single. Week? Wink

TiffanyToothache · 08/09/2014 18:26

Not parenting, but I walked out of my shower room, naked, to be confronted by roofers on next door's roof looking at me through a window which no-one could see through, unless they were on next door's roof!

I hesitate every morning now, and quickly glance to check there is no-one on the roof before sauntering out.

kathryng90 · 08/09/2014 18:48

I flashed at dhl delivery driver last Christmas. Day off work sick v heavy head cold feeling rubbish on sofa in dressing gown. Bell goes. Answer carefully wrapping belt around gown. Driver hands parcel over as small son pulls on gown belt to see who it is! Gown open top to toe, belt falls to ground and exit one embarrassed driver

Been here...
First sitting feeding DD1 in a sling that completely covered my top half (American thing - it was like an adjustable baby born type thing - truly fantastic) so had both boobs out (in a pub of all places) - DP at bar getting a (non-alcoholic) drink when DP's friend walked in, saw me and came over and said hello...and as he leaned forward and looked down my front... how's the wee one...I don't know which of us was most embarrassed...
But my biggest fail ...I used to give DD1 a quick feed in the car before taking her into nursery...
One day half asleep and late/rushing I dived out the car - her in one arm and her small rucksack over the opposite shoulder...as I went to the door an oldish man smirked smiled at me. I said hello, its a lovely day isn't it . He smirked more agreed. As I was walking up the steps I realised that I had left my boob out - and worse cos of the bag on my shoulder I was actually thrusting it forward Blush

Brittapieandchips · 08/09/2014 19:16

Walking along the street on a lovely sunny day, carrying dd2 who was at the babbling stage, however old that is (I've forgotten this info to make room for 'interesting' facts about Jake and his bloody pirates, it would seem)

Anyway, builders on opposite side of quiet cul de sac, having a break, say hi (they have been working there for a few days so are on nodding terms)

Dd2, for no apparent reason, starts babbling 'tit tit tit tit tit tit' AND PULLS MY TOP DOWN TO TRY AND LATCH ON.

We called it booby milk or just milk, btw - they were co incidental tits.

cerealqueen · 08/09/2014 23:02

Both feeding underwear related in very early days of feeding DD1.

The postman saw me with my nursing bra cups unclipped and, in a later incident, my dressing gown fell open, both just as I opened the door. When he had to ring the bell after that, he'd turn his head to one side to avoid seeing any other nakedness. Blush So glad when he left and didn't see him for years, then saw him once at a local toddler group, but never again. Blush

THOSE WOMEN WERE IN THE NIP! Grin

melonribena · 09/09/2014 08:03

In a big family busy restaurant with 5mth old ds who needed a feed. I wasn't confident at feeding in the huge busy room so found a large disabled toilet. There was nowhere to sit so in interests of hygiene I squatted against the door and started feeding...

What I didn't realise was that the door wasn't properly locked, it shot open and me and ds fell backwards into the middle of the restaurant with boobs out!

The restaurant staff were great and were more worried that I was ok. But still!

WhatWouldCaitlinDo · 09/09/2014 09:11

We had builders in last year, and they were always very chatty and friendly. One day we were having our "end of day briefing" and they were all (9 of them) shuffling from one foot to the other and avoiding my eye. I was wondering if they'd done something heinous or were planning on running out on us. After the chat I waved them all off, and turned to put DC down from where she was perched on my hip, holding on to my shoulder. I realised she had pulled my entire vest top down over one boob and that I had been standing there yapping away for a good ten minutes. oh the shame.

OhGood · 09/09/2014 11:28

Bollard love the eloquent description of the belly!

I have given up on modesty/dignity with the poor postman, who could probably help me with DS latch he has seen so much of me feeding. Honestly, poor man. So when there was a knock at the door recently I assumed it was him, and that he could just bung whatever it was in the door quickly.

So I got up to answer the door with DS still attached, as a sort of crap modesty shield, and it wasn't postman, it was Tesco delivery man, who was about 19 and clearly horrified.

I laboured with my first two children in a birthing pool. MIL was mildly interested in this fact and since we had taken a couple of photos, I offered to show them to her. We were all sat on the sofa, MIL, FIL and me. I opened up the extra large screen laptop and found the photos. FIL suddenly stands up and walks away. I then realised that I was absolutely naked in that pool and that the water was very clear and since I was sat in the pool and DH had taken the photo standing up, no part of my body was hidden.
I could cope with FIL seeing my boobs. My "minge" as others have put it so elegantly, not so.
