Reasons my child has cried today

She wanted jam on her toast - but not the jam that was ON her toast. No. The jam in the jar

She wanted to drive her car. She was sitting on it. But she didn't want to move her feet.

Her legs aren't long enough to hang over the edge of then sofa

She wanted to watch peppa pig. But on the iPad not the tv. Then it was the wrong episode.

She wanted my lunch. As we were eating the same thing I have her my lunch. She then cried cos she wanted my lunch. And could no comprehend that I now had her lunch....

I wouldn't take her to France

She wanted to but strawberries in tesco. But none of the punnets I selected would do.

She wanted to buy flowers for daddy. We bought them. She gave them to him. She then wanted to pick them all apart and we wouldn't let her.

She didn't want to go in the buggy but also didn't want to walk.

She's 2. Granted she isn't feeling 100%. The above is a selection of reasons she has cried today. She has cried at more stuff aswell but these were the highlights.
I am shattered Sad

Brilliant - so glad I'm not alone !

My DD 6 cried because she didn't want to go to Kidscamp (activity club) today and because she didn't want to go to Granny's next week and would rather go to Kisdcamp!

I can't win!

Dd cried because she wanted a banana, and I gave her one.

Because I prevented her climbing in the dishwasher.

Because I gave her a cuddle when she wanted one.

Because peppa pig wasn't on the telly

because the slide was wet and i dried it.

Because I only let her have one biscuit.

Because she can only crawl backwards and she desperately wants to go forwards

Because I will not let her bash the laptop keys.

Because she reversed under a chair and got stuck.

Ds2 because his brother kneed him in the face, because I made sweet corn and because he had to have a bath

Dd because I wouldn't let her in the kitchen, because there were no bananas, because she was tired, because she fell into the cupboard

DS1 cried for about half an hour because he lost a shell that he found on the beach.

He is 7.6 Hmm

  1. Because a man at the bus stop had the same hair colour as her.
  1. Because I gave her toast and butter (what she asked for). She wanted plain toast and butter (eventually figured out she was asking for bread and butter)
  1. Because I bought her a new toothbrush.
  1. Because the hand wash in the coffee shop toilet was the wrong colour.
  1. Because I had a bath (I normally have a shower rather than a bath)

She's almost 5.

  • because during a tantrum she announced whilst sobbing she wants a pair skates. Apparently "everyones got some". When asked what sort of skates she wants? Roller or ice skates? The answer was ice skates through the tears and sobs. She doesn't even know what ice skates are, we've never talked to her about ice skates before. Ah but she does know ice skates are, I saw mr tumble skating on a rink a few days later so that's where she got that from!
  • because during a crying episode she announced she wants a tiger. Im not sure I can solve that problem for her!

DD (2.5) asked very nicely if she could wear my makeup to nursery. I said as we still had teeth cleaning and face washing to do too, so shall we clean teeth, then makeup and face washing last? Enthusiastic "yes mummy"

Excellent I thought and we almost got away with it until 10 mins later at nursery when she showed staff her 'makeup'. While they oohed and ahhed about how lovely it was I saw it the realisation hit and then began the massive wailing tantrum "You washed my makeup offff!"

Then after nursery...
Her 5 month old brother was chewing his muslin when she had clearly told him to chew his 'Sophie'

I flushed the toilet when she wanted to do it

Her friend didn't want to wash his hands after using the potty

Her friend didn't eat the cake she'd made

Her friend drank all of his juice before her

Overtired after a stressful day at nursery without her makeup obviously!
