Dd(10) has trainers, school shoes, converse, ballet pumps, sandals, crocs, sheepskin boots, wellies. None very ££. Nor will they be since she's now crept into adult sizes.

Ds1 (8) has trainers, school shoes, crocs, wellies.

Ds2 (4) has shoes, crocs and wellies. The shoes are slightly too small. Tried to get new pair but he has ridiculously narrow feet. Clark's don't make them that narrow ans had none in the nearest width fitting.

Picturesinthefirelight · 08/04/2014 11:40

Ds (10) has school shoes, trainers for home & trainers that have to be kept in school. Oh & Welles

Dd (12) has school shoes, trainers, converse, boots , Welles (plus ballet shoes, tap shoes & jazz shoes!)

Jacksterbear · 08/04/2014 11:41

DS (7): school shoes, crocs, wellies, snow boots (+ plimsolls in school PE kit). Oh and slippers.

DD (3): "main" pair of leather shoes, crocs, wellies, snow boots, indoor canvas shoes (needed for preschool) and slippers.

DS: school shoes, trainers, wellies, crocs

DD: school shoes x 2, boots, crocs, trainers x 2

Jacksterbear · 08/04/2014 11:42

Oh forgot DD's ballet shoes!

Artandco · 08/04/2014 11:42

Both have:

Sandals
Flip flips
Crocs
Canvas toms

Snow boots
Wellington boots
Ugg boots
Leather boots

Trainers x2
Smart moccasins

They seem to wear them all. Either in the uk, when we are abroad in diff climates

ZuleikaD · 08/04/2014 11:43

Three each - one pair of shoes, one pair of Crocs, one pair of wellies. Think DD will need sandals this summer though.

Artandco · 08/04/2014 11:43

Oh and slippers for home and nursery

redskyatnight · 08/04/2014 11:45

DS (9) - has school shoes, trainers (for sport), trainers (nice) and will get sandals for the summer

DD(8) has school shoes, trainers, party shoes and will also get sandals in summer

Purpleroxy · 08/04/2014 11:45

8yo and 6yo:

Home trainers
School trainers (live at school in PE bag)
School shoes
Wellies
Crocs
Winter boots (Sainsburys so not too £)
Party shoes (dd only, ds wears trainers to parties)
Will buy both some sort of summer shoe, sandal or canvas

Bit of a shoe explosion!

Ds is 3 sizes bigger than dd so I also have a collection of Wellies and trainers etc that he has outgrown that she can wear.

Daughter is 3 and a half.
She has:
1 x leather trainer type
1 x sandals
1 x wellies

I will make sure I buy black trainer type (as opposed to Fuschia pink with lights) when she stars school so she can wear them to school, but still think 3 is enough - plus plimsoles I guess, if they still have to wear those in school halls these days..

Artandco · 08/04/2014 12:58

I think it depends on where you live/ go tbh. We live in London so they have the regular stuff as mentioned , but also usually spend a few months in Switzerland in winter. Hence wellie boots alone don't cut it as they need proper snow boots down to -20/30. Same with the many summer styles. My work takes us abroad also so we can easily spend December in a summer location hence needing summer things there, uk things here, winter things elsewhere.

Thurlow · 08/04/2014 12:59

2yo has a pair of wellies, which is generally all she sodding wants to wear, a pair of nicer boots, a pair of trainers for her football class, and a pair of those sort of Mary Jane style girl shoes, which none of us, including her, like, so I don't even know why I bought them... In the summer she'll just live in Doodles.

I reckon 3-4 pairs is about right - something to wear in the rain, something to wear normally, something to wear when they need to be a bit smarter.

NoIamAngelaHernandez · 08/04/2014 13:03

I have 4 year old twin boys.
They each have 4 pairs: trainers for football, crocs, wellies and leather shoes.

Patilla · 08/04/2014 13:05

DS (5) has school shoes
Sandals (with covered toe)
Wellies

DD(1) has cruiser shoes
Single items from a variety of slipper/sock type things that she wears in pushchair and removes one at a time and drops in puddles and which I then shove in my pocket/pushchair shipping basket and promptly mislay until she has grown out of them.

tumbletumble · 08/04/2014 14:01

My 3 have: black school shoes (except DS2 who is at pre-school), non-school everyday shoes, trainers (2 pairs as 1 pair stays at school) and wellies. I'll get them sandals for the summer.

DS1 has football boots too.

WipsGlitter · 08/04/2014 14:06

DS1: trainers / school shoes / rugby boots

DS2: one pair (has SN wears special shoes)

They have hardly any clothes as well. I batch buy - so prob after easter will go and get them each trousers / tops / shorts for the summer.

None of us has masses of clothes.

SizzlesSit · 08/04/2014 14:11

DS is 2.6. He generally has 2 pairs of shoes plus a pair of season shoes.

So this winter - 2 pairs of ankle boots plus wellies
This summer - 2 pairs of trainers plus sandals

He walks loads and is outside for hours so we need 2 pairs

odyssey2001 · 08/04/2014 18:36

DS 3yo

Trainers - general wear
Canvas - park and scooter (cheaper)
Snow boots - muddy park
Wellies - puddles
Flip-flops - garden
Smart boots - smarter occasions
Slippers

MummyPig24 · 09/04/2014 05:54

Ds 6 has:
School shoes
P.E pumps
Sandals
Trainers
Converse type high tops
Wellies

Dd 4 has:
School shoes
Wellies
Snow boots
Leather boots
Doodles
Sandals
Party shoes

siblingrevelry · 09/04/2014 06:04

Boys (5 & 7), each have wellies, football boots, trainers, school shoes, crocs, slippers.

Girl (2) has crocs x 2, trainers, converse pumps, shoes x 2, sandals, doodles, wellies, snow boots, slippers. She isn't over-indulged, but my best friend has twin daughters aged three, so most of her 'extra' shoes are inherited!

mumofboyo · 09/04/2014 06:58

both of mine (18 months and nearly 3) have just one pair of shoes each: Clarks first shoes.

Hulababy · 09/04/2014 07:36

12y dd probably has more than me. She loves shoes; I don't.

She has: school slip ons, school brogues, school trainers x2, netball trainers, hi tops, doc martins, wellies, 3/4 x slip ons, 2 x flip flops, converse pumps, climbing shoes, walking boots, 2 x sandals, red heels ... Probably more. Luckily she has been in same size shoe for a year now.

ImAThrillseekerHoney · 09/04/2014 07:43

DS has school shoes x2, trainers, smart non-school shoes, plimsolls, wellies and crocs. No sandals at the moment, I'll need to replace for summer.
DD (11) has school shoes x3 (1 pair was crap and is for emergencies only), ankle boots, school trainers, home trainers, converse-a-likes, wellies, crocs and about 4 pairs of cheap knackered ballet flats in garish designs. No sandals IIRC.
