DS1 9 and DS2 6 said their dad let them watch little britain over his last night.Ive never really watched it so not sure how bad it is but feel they shouldn't watch it.
So is it ok or bad for their age?

No, I wouldn't. Some of it isn't too bad but other bits aren't suitable, esp for 6yo imo. scripts here so you can decide

Charlee · 22/07/2006 20:06

probably wouldnt understand alot of it but no.

serenity · 22/07/2006 20:06

Mine have watched it, and although it wasn't something I would have done (I was out), I think most of the adult stuff went over their heads, so I didn't stress too much. They liked the slapsticky elements. Mine are 6 and 8 btw.

southeastastra · 22/07/2006 20:26

sorry should have read op!

sparklemagic · 22/07/2006 20:55

no way - it's for adults. inappropriate.

by adults I mean adults and older teenagers who HAVE to watch it as it's more important than the curriculum - you've got to know what to say in the playground!

but for 6 and 9, no I do think it's too much.

HenniPenni · 23/07/2006 12:41

Have to very firmly tell DD1(11) that she can't watch it, regardless to the fact that she says all her friends watch it (and her 8 year old cousin- which I know is true)

sparklemagic · 23/07/2006 18:10

and anyway at 6 and 9 isn't it on a bit late??????

tortoise · 23/07/2006 18:23

They said it was on at 9.30.As it was a friday night i guess its ok(ish!)time.(although I dont let them stay up that late even in the hols)

SherlockLGJ · 23/07/2006 19:07

Absolutely not.

jampots · 23/07/2006 19:07

I dont suppose its a good time to say they like South Park too is it?

trinityrhino · 23/07/2006 19:07

no definitely not

thechildsslave · 23/07/2006 19:12

southpark

SecurMummy · 23/07/2006 19:17

I don't even let myself watch it

dd1 (10) asked why she isn't allowed to watch BB here as she watches it all the time at her dad's, my response was something like
"ggrrr grumble mutter that RUBBISH grumble in MY house mutter mutter my dead body".

I have been told i have no sense of humour but I just think I have taste

SecondhandRose · 23/07/2006 19:40

No i wouldn't and nor is my 11 yr old Ds allowed to watch it. DH and I love it though!

SecondhandRose · 23/07/2006 19:41

I think if they're quite young it all goes over their heads but no wouldn't let mine watch it now. What if they want explanations as to what is going on Mr Dudley?
