Ds woke up tonight and his clothes were wet so I changed him in the (nearly) dark. All ok til I put his mitts back on and he started crying, wasn't sure why at first til I checked his hands and his first finger was bent back Sad I checked it and once it was straight again he was fine and ive just checked it again to see if he cries when I press it gently but hes fast asleep so obviously its fine.
Just wide awake now as feel so awful and he really did cry... hes only 5 months too Sad

What? Some mother just today caused her baby to faceplant on to her knee while trying to get them to walk unsupported before they were ready you say? Who could do such a thing?!

I am sure there are loads of things I haven't done but all I can think of is falling up the stairs while carrying DS1 aged 7 months. I then fell on exactly the same step with DD when she was 7 months old. I didn't carry DS2 up the stairs when he was 7 months old if there was someone else to do it.

And another, I drove the length of one road with DD aged 2 not strapped in. Fuck, reminded me of driving off with DS1 when he was 8 weeks old not strapped into his seat and the seat not strapped into the car. Didn't get more than 2 metres thankfully. In my defence I had taken a call in between unloading the trolley, etc.
