A packet of Tutti Fruttis
Handful of cat biscuits (before I could stop her)

shes ill though! Grin

Napdamnyou · 18/04/2012 13:12

Mine has a very limited morning menu of
Buttered toast or muesli bread
Chunks of cheese
Yoghurt
Cheerios
Dry muesli
Apples
Breadsticks

That is all he will eat between 6am until after he wakes from lunchtime nap. And breakfast is just a few bites of toast or yoghurt, plus BM. He mostly snacks and grazes in pushchair.

Afternoon, still won't eat much until after he goes swimming at 4pm. Supper at 5pm is protein (like meatballs or fishfingers) and veg and potato of some kind but he often leaves it. However, he will eat it in small bites if fed by me to him by hand when getting washed in the sink!

He is 16m and has new molars but the main thing is not liking sitting down to eat and is better if distracted ie in pushchair or sink.

He remains mad for BM and asks constantly which is wearing. He used to love loads of things like mango and carrot but won't eat them now unless starving.

DS 2.2:

So far today:

Breakfast: Cornflakes with milk, cup of milk
Snack: 1/2 toasted cheese and black pepper muffin with butter (yum! we were at home today though, normally it would be a cereal bar)
Lunch: 2 home made suasage rolls with low salt and sugar beans (PFB alert!), banana, small packet of animal biscuits.

Potty bribes: 4 gummy bears.

For tea he will have veggie stir fry with cashew nuts, and noodles, probably yoghurt for dessert.

More potty bribes. Probably a snack when he wakes up from his nap (babybel?)

Milk before bed.

DS, 21 months:

Breakfast: one Weetabix with milk, two prunes
SNack: quite a few mini rice cakes, some kiwi fruit
Lunch: most of a slice of wholegrain bread and butter, bit of butternut squash soup, slice of ham, bit of cheese, another kiwi fruit, bit of Easter egg
Tea: couple of mouthfuls of egg-fried noodles with peas, a banana, a fromage frais pouch

WHat I never know is if he doesn't eat something - especially something he has previously enjoyed like the egg-fried noodles - whether to offer him something else instead. I gave him the pudding he would have had anyway but resisted the temptation to give him some bread and butter or anything. Now am just hoping he doesn't wake in the night...

ConstantCraving · 19/04/2012 07:44

DD: 2.5 - will have this pretty much every day.
wakeup: milk
Breakfast: 1 oatibix, maybe 1 slice wholemeal toast
Snack: hot cross bun , yogurt
Lunch: breadsticks and hummous
Snack:yogurt
Supper: pasta, pesto, peas with tuna mixed in or fishfingers and baked beans... sometimes roasted veg pizza.
Bedtime: milk
Drinks watered down pure orange juice. I swing between worry that it's so limited and gratitude thaat she eats anything at all!
She is still not using cutlery and likes to be fed.

blue22 · 19/04/2012 09:31

My DD (2.6)
Milk when she woke up. Then a few shreddies with milk (sometimes she whips a whole bowl down - today literally 3 or 4!) She asked for kiwi which I cut up and gave to her and then she didn't eat it.

Snack Oatcake and avocado dipped in balsamic

Lunch - shop bought cheese and tomato pizza which I added peppers too. She picked most of the peppers off though. Apple and yoghurt. lots of water.

Snack after nap - banana and rich tea biscuit. A few apricots. Milk.

Dinner - salmon with rice and broccoli (she ate loads of this which was great as she's been a bit picky with dinner recently) Lots of pineapple and grapes.

Snack before bed - oatcakes, apple and cheese with a few more grapes.

Like everyone else it REALLY varies. Sometimes I think she's a good eater, other times when we've done too much going to cafes and having muffins/hot chocoloate etc I feel guilty that she eats too much rubbish. I also think I give her too much pasta - looking at the other posts I'm definitely going to try cous cous.

Propinquity · 19/04/2012 09:48

Nearly 3 (is that still a toddler?)

Prepare to squawk ;)

Bowl of cheerios and milk.
Half tin of spaghetti hoops and about 6 curly fries.
Chocolate buttons.
2 quarter slices of cheese & tomato pizza.
Packet of crisps.
About 3 cupfulls of milk all day.

No fruit, no veg.
That's a typical day.

Can't force it down him, can't mush up the good stuff either (refuses).

His 5 year old sister meanwhile, eats nothing but fruit, veg, organic snacks, wholesome meals and all the good stuff.

I'm sure it will naturally pan out well.

greenbananas · 19/04/2012 16:32

So far today:

half a poppadom
portion McDonalds fries
half a McDonalds hamburger
one digestive biscuit and quarter of an apple
one and a half packets of hula hoops
2 bites pitta bread

I know this is bad. He has food allergies, which does make feeding him difficult (especially when we are out and about as McDonalds is about the only place in our town centre we can buy food for him). However, I know there is no excuse for feeding him this much salt and rubbish, and I will be getting plenty of fruit into him tomorrow somehow!

chezziejo · 19/04/2012 16:40

Mines not much better. I'm feeling pretty wretched today but that's another story :-(

Mind he's still got a dry barking cough and low grade temp but today

Raisins for breakfast, didn't want Cheerios
Dinner slice of ham, breadsticks and half a bag of crisps. 3/4 munch bunch yoghurt and some more raisins.

A few milky bar buttons but wasn't that bothered with them.

For tea I dunno yet.

Mind that's the most he's eaten this week, bless him. Think we keep passing sodding bugs back and forward.

greenbananas · 19/04/2012 16:45

chezziojo I think that sounds okay for a toddler who is poorly. Anything is better than nothing when they're ill.

(not that I am at all qualified to give advice about nutrition!!! Grin )

chezziejo · 19/04/2012 16:56

Aww thanks it's better than the half a hobnob he had the other day lol. He's a crappy eater anyway. Ate anything at one time. I'm just plodding along and hoping he grows out of his faddy ways.

LittleMissSnowShine · 19/04/2012 17:02

DS (20 months) eats everything pretty much and he's got a great appetite but he hates sitting in his highchair or any chair at all for that matter so getting the food into him is a pain!

for dinner last night:
spanish chicken casserole thing i made
fromage frais yogurt
beaker of dilute juice

7oz milk before

for breakfast:
weetabix
half a slice of toast
milk

throughout morning
milk, juice

lunch:
more leftover casserole

afternoon:
milk, couple of breadsticks, juice

dinner tonight is going to be a beef & winter veg casserole (yeah, we're having a lot of casseroles this week)

and then he'll prob have another 7oz milk before bed

Annpan88 · 19/04/2012 21:30

DS, 13 Months today had:

A bf about half 7ish

9.00am - A boiled egg on toast. A lot of which was thrown on the floor. In fact, I find it hard to tell what he ate.

Some grapes mid morning, then a bf before his nap

13.00 - A ham sandwich. Well, really just the ham. I don't know why I keep pissing about with bread when he couldn't give a toss.

Rasins, grapes, and a biscuit mid afternoon and a bf at some point

17.30 - Bolognese sauce with cream cheese through it (he looked hungry and the spaghetti wasn't ready).

His eating's a bit of an issue. had very little interest in food that doesn't contain lots of sugar, which he doesn't get that often. He had a bf before bed and then all through the night. Last night I started night weaning, am seeing how that goes

lots33 · 20/04/2012 11:24

Yesterday DS 19 months ate:

three prunes
bowl of cornflakes with whole milk
half banana
fishfingers
potato
peas
banana
yoghurt
toast and butter
lentil and bacon soup
babybel
fromage frais
satsuma

He eats loads but veg is definitely a challenge! Childminder days (as yesterday was) are a trial because she doesn't feed him as healthily as I'd like but he is never hungry for tea so always very little and sometimes no veg on those days.

toobreathless · 20/04/2012 16:42
