DS is 20 months old and we've just found out yesterday at scan DC2 is also a boy. DH was a bit shocked as he'd convinced himself that this one was a girl. My mother who we told straight away was a bit "oh well... I guess it will be nice for DS1" (shes always wanted a granddaughter). Although we haven't told anyone else the sex yet I have been surprised how many people have said so far about "wouldn't it be nice to have a girl this time". I feel a bit deflated now which I suspect is hormones etc.

I also think I feel a bit sad as this is also probably our last child and I have always imagined I would have a daughter at some point. Saying all this I am very happy indeed to have another healthy bump and our little boy is gorgeous and I am very chuffed to be having another. Please tell me all the lovely things about having two boys! Grin

Having 2 boys is great. They play really well together, although there is a lot of "piowww"ing which goes on with any vaguely gun shaped object

im my mum first child (girl) and my mum lost her second baby (a girl too) a few days before her due date. then she went on and had my brother.
so i've always missed having a sister, having a girly bond etc... i did got on quite well with my bother and still does even if we really dont share much in life.
each of my pregnancies i was convinced i had a girl and each time, i had a boy!
im 5 weeks away of delivering my 3rd little boy and i love having them! they wont sit still and do some colouring - they much rather run around, pretending to be pirates or dinosaurs but they re great!! they really love each other and look out for one another all the time! i think they are very lucky to have each other :-)

enjoy!! (and sod the fairies!)

I'm coming to this as mum to dd but all my friends have boys in various combinations of 1, 2 and 3. And they all rock! They are lively, great fun, intelligent and range in age from 10 months to 10 year's.

I had a real wobble when I found about dd as I really wanted a boy. Everyone assumed I would be delighted with a girl but girls are not all people make out - the cheap pink clothes are really sickly, everything is sodding pink, plus girls can be spiteful and manipulative too.

Boys seem far more straightforward plus they love tractors etc. What's not to like?

Am hoping dd picks up as many of my friends' lads qualities!
