Whole unexpected day tomorrow with toddler DD. What can I do to improve her mood?

I'm having a tough time with 2.7 yo DD at the moment. She has raging melt downs at the slightest provocation, which is obviously totally normal, but I'm pregnant and probably less patient than usual and am finding it/ her exhausting.

Anyway, we've got all day tomorrow to ourselves. Nobody to see, nothing that has to be done (except a walk with the dog). Any suggestions of how to make this a 'successful' day? Grandparents are coming the day after and we'll all be busy for a week. I want to do something lovely and bonding, but should probably lower my expectations as it's likely to be as difficult a day as they've all been recently.

She is mostly lovely, it's just me that's the problem.

Raid the pound shop for Easter craft things. Our town has five Poundland/world shops, so for the princely sum of £2 I kept a poorly DD happy and occupied in our 'card factory' for a whole day (no mean feat for one that wants to be outside all the time - poor soul)

yeah water is a great idea. i sometimes fill the washing up bowl with bubbly water and put it out in the garden and it keeps them busy for ages!

I spend almost every day of the holidays at home with dd's, i often let them do what they want to do (lego, water play, craft, hama beads, playdough), i find the days go very fast by the time you have had lunch, played a few games and bathed them (dd2 loves the bath), i find it lot easier than going out.

Oh and dont worry about the cinema, my dd1 didn't go until she was 7, there was no way she would have sat still for long enough (some children would but others wouldn't).
