Met a mum today in the supermarket whose dd is in same class as dd1 8yrs. They are both in the top level of the class. This girl's mum explained her list of after school classes for her 2 kids. They do 2hrs music, 1hr language, 1hr dance & 1hr sports. My dd does 1hr tennis & dd2 does 1hr dance per week. My kids are bilingual so it's ok with lang.

I wish my kids could do more but I have a dd3 who's 2.5yrs & a ds4 who's 17 weeks to look after. My dh works long hours.

Just felt like I wasn't on top of giving my kids things to do. Anyone else like this? & what do you do about it?

two for my 9 year old. None for my 5 year old....he does sometimes have to stay in after school club if I have a meeting

Actually I lied, he does have the occasional after school activity - detention.
It apparently beats doing your homework.

mine does gymnastics on a Monday free at school
football £3.50 after school at school on Tuesday and Friday Judo £ 5.30 at school. Recorder Tuesday lunchtime free and Choir Fridaylunchtime free.I wanted him to be a team player as regards football as it is for different year groups and as he is an only child . Judo to me is important as you dont have to use this skill but IMO its nice to know that you can if you have to . Choir makes him look angelic even if hes not . LOL .Gymnastics and recorder well thay are just nice things to do . Its all down to choice you either do or you dont .
