Spacecadet is currently having to deal with more than anyone should ever have to deal with in a lifetime.

She has experienced over the last few months a stillbirth, serious illness, looking after with no help a house full of children and a consequence a husband who has walked out.

Please can we do something positive and practical to help spacey out over the next few months.

Lovely mumsnet have said that they will give out the details of their po box address so that any of us that feel so generously inclined could rustle up a few quid to go into a nanny fund or an au pair fund or so that we can find a company that make lovely homemade food and deliver it to her every week.

Please support me on this - If everyone gave just £1 we'd be able to offer some amazing help to SC.

I'm sorry Spacey if you are angry with me for starting this thread - I know you are proud and you have coped admirably with everything - but please just accept that we want to help.

I will post details of who to make cheque payable to and where to send it, just as soon as I have the details. In the meantime, please look behind your cushions on your sofa and in the bottom of your handbag amongst the fluff to dig out those coins.

Thank you so much
DHW

have got tax credit form to put in post for you later this afternoon once estate agent been. couldn't get income support form for you - you have to phone your local jobcentre for that, as they usually get you to complete one over the phone, then send it out to you.

spacecadet · 20/01/2006 17:09

thanks MTS, dont laugh but it was the "local" job centre i phoned which is in cambridge, they just said they would send a form out.

MarsOnLife · 20/01/2006 18:02

bugsy, I found your emails in my spam folder. Don't know why. Anyway, you'll have had the address from me as well now.

How you doing Spacey? Does DD have an apron? lol

Just seen this thread and would like to offer my support too, but don't do paypal (have no idea how to).. How else can I help?

desperatehousewife · 20/01/2006 18:15

. Send a cheque to mumsnet towers at:

Mumsnet Ltd
PO Box 657
Ipswich
IP1 9AE

This will be forwarded onto Spacey.

  1. or you can CAT me: Desperatehousewife, and I'll give you my address and I will forward it on to Spacey.

  2. Or you can email marslady at: [email protected] and she will give you her details and any cheques can be forwarded by her.

  3. Or if you have Paypal set up, you can pay via paypal direct to Spacey at: www.paypal.com. Spacey's account is: [email protected]

Over and out.

Thanks desperatehousewife, but if I send a check to mumsnet to forward, who to I make it out to?

desperatehousewife · 20/01/2006 18:23

good point! I'll Cat you her first name and then MN towers or Spacey herself can fill in her surname. I'm don't want to give out her name without her permission.

Right... have been. Have seen Spacey. Gorgeous children. Have filled the freezer. Attempted to get a pub lunch, ended up with a yummy pizza.

Lemon drizzle cake in the oven. Now going home. I say home, but what I mean is back to LGJ's where Mr LGJ is making our dinner. Yummy!!!!!!!!!!!1

Last night we only managed 4 bottles of red. Will have to do better tonight.

Over and out!

Cadbury · 21/01/2006 17:38

have one for me too Marsy my love.

Well done you two. You are fab.

Will be sending a cheque to the fund as soon as payday arrives.

spacecadet · 21/01/2006 18:55

Mars and LGJ, have been and gone and they are fab, fab, fab.
they filled my freezer with food, whisked me off to pizza express and then Mars, baked me a lemon drizzle cake which my dc's are currently devouring.
dh, wisely kept out of the way. he is packing at the mo, i just feel numb.
Ive just realised that going out today was the first time ive been out anywhere much since i got ill and i now feel shattered, if anyone sees me posting on here after 10, tell me to go to bed!
Mars and LGJ, thank you

desperatehousewife · 21/01/2006 18:59

waterfalls · 21/01/2006 19:09

spacecadet

Have you prepared yourself (as much as you can) for when he walks out the door, just worried it will effect you more than you think, do you have any friends coming to keep you company tonight. xxx

QE2 · 21/01/2006 19:10

Well done LGJ and Mars - Good Samaritans Award 2006 goes to them!!

Am I the only one whose dh thinks it's weird for people to do this? He just doesn't get it, you know!
