a poll for those who have tried naturally to swing the gender of their baby when TTC

i am TTC DC#2. I would take either gender very gratefully but fascinated in this area and it's a hot topic with friends so i'm undertaking a poll.

Please only respond if you tried to swing the gender of your DC.

1. What gender were you trying for?
2. What did you do?
3. What did you get?
4. If you already had DCs what did you have already?

I hope it goes without saying that every child is a blessing but i know lots of people have preferences so i am interested to hear your stories.....

For DS1 we just wanted a baby so had sex twice a day the week i ovulated.
For DS2, we thought we'd like a girl so tried to have sex well before ov - didnt work. i got impatient, we had sex every day the weeki ov and had a lovey boy
For DC3 - forgot i was entering my fertile phase, made the decision not to take the morning after pill as third DC would be nice even if a bit too early, results: 7th Jan. whatever that baby is i will have been conceived on the first day of me being fertile... tryingnot to get my hopes for a girl too high. Boys are great and i wouldnt ind a third one :-)

I did AI which might be interesting in this. I won't know what I'm having for another 6 weeks but will update when I find out.

I would like a girl but didn't do any particular trying.

I self-inseminated 5 days before, 3 days before, and 12 hours before ovulation. Will see what I end up with
