Would you send your child to school if they had been throwing up the previous day ??

Just wondering because a girl in Dd's class was sent home yesterday afternoon because she was violently sick twice. Apparently she was also sick again in the evening.

Another girl has also got it, and been being sick all last night. Her mom has kept her off, but the girl who was sent home yesterday has gone into school today.

I will admitt that I am a bit peed off that her mother has sent her in. If one of my kids get it, then all 3 probably will, plus I just don't think it's fair on her to send her after she was that sick.

What do you think ??

depends on the child

some kids can be violently sick and be better after all contents have been brought up and a good nights sleep

others can be drained and look pasty for days

me personally, I can be sick and feel alot better instantly.

Nutty - That is a very distant memory for me..... >nostalgic<

Back to the sickness issue.... I think in this instance it sounds like a nasty bug so you probably would feel awful for a couple of days.

Doormat - Exactly.

nursery has 24 hour (or possibly even 48 hr - though that might be diarrohea) rule. Strongly agree with it. Bugs pass round children that age (plus their younger siblings and pregnant mums) quickly and you shouldn't take chances.
