Since DS was a baby I have called him "Mogs". I think its because he reminded me of Mogwai in Gremlins when he was first born!!! (Bad mother I am), even now I shout "Mogs" in the street and he will respond to me.

bumpsy · 07/09/2005 21:20

DD1 is Bumpsy or Bumper & has been since being breastfed and would bump on and off my boob! She still answers all the time to it and is six!
DS1 is Spiller and DS2 is Teddy or Big Ted - all of these names have come from my wonderfully soppy husband.

RandomDad · 01/11/2005 15:43

DD started off as Moo or Mooey, nothing deliberate, but it stuck and I liked having a special name for her.

Wife has now hijacked Moo , so sneakily I've moved onto 'Schmoo' without telling her.

ds was 'honey bee' more or less from birth - it just seemed to fit to his gorgeously cute rooting. Now 'bee' is dh's and my shorthand for him, with the appropriate activity - sleepy bee, hungry bee, rolly-over bee etc.
dh also calls him Eule which is German for owl.
From me he gets everything from pigeon to poppet.

Friends call their DD "schmoo".

DH amused recently to read in 'Rogers Profanasaurus' (fave toilet reading of the moment) that this is another word for fanny in Auz!!!
