I think I may be inspired by the 100 situps a day club - but I couldn't manage more than 10!

Anyone want to try starting small and building up?

Still here but had a dodgy tummy since Friday so no sit ups (but plenty of Mumsnet!) - may feel up to them again tomorrow.

ps wish I could show such progress

hello everyone, have been slack for quite a few days but did my 20 last night. will aim for 30 and a plank today.

Thanks for your advice Crazynow - I managed to do 20 situps (just about) - 4 days last week. Unfortunately I can only get up as far as 45 degrees (can't get right up to sitting). DH advised me to stick my feet under the sofa, to hold them down as I come up. Somehow this way I find doing them easier and can get right up to sitting position - but doing this way doesn't seem to kill my stomach muscles as the other technique.

I'm up to 20 now. 10 straight and 10 across. I only do crunches, do you do full situps all the way from the floor to sitting?

metrobaby, you don't do your sit ups to go all the way up, it puts too much pressure on your back. You only need to get your shoulders off the floor this will work your tummy, if you go to any classes you will see they don't teach them that way any more.

Just be careful, take it steady when your prng, you don't want to work them too hard, just nice and gently and don't forget when your 20wks not on your back you go on your hands and knees.

Keep it going everyone
