Oh of course if the cast of the wire was starring in twilight I'd probably change my mind . There is another young man in the cast who makes Brandon Walsh looking like a somewhat broody intellectual, the one wth black hair (always uber styled on the red carpet), who is that one?

By the way Masseuse, I think you should enjoy your addiction without guilt. I think respectable, good madri di famiglia all have their little, innocent addictions!
And I will keep sparlare of twilight so that you keep showing up

ROSA hello! Awwwwww your dd missing her papa' is so sweet!
So, which one is your bathroom?

It's raining cats and dogs here in Milan, I got soaked.

Ah, have you seen Toy Story 3? We took the dc a few days ago and we loved it! I recommend it.

OP posts:
TheMysticMasseuse · 05/08/2010 14:14

that's Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob- the underage werewolf.

I bet you regret you asked

Francagoestohollywood · 05/08/2010 15:28

Can werewolves be underage then? They can't drive/drink and have sex like humans?

OP posts:
Sputnik · 05/08/2010 17:46

Francagoestohollywood · 05/08/2010 21:07

OP posts:
TheMysticMasseuse · 05/08/2010 21:22

Franca, darling. It's Twilight- NO ONE drinks or has sex. They drive Volvos though

You do understand the need for fanfiction now, don't you?

BananaGio · 05/08/2010 21:29

hello ladies, lol at outdated bidets and like your posts Sput and Franca! Just checking in to say hi and bye. Back from UK and off to the beach senza computer (bites nails nervously)on Saturday for 3 weeks.
Twilight - mmm - have read them all & seen the films. Don't know why really cos are pretty awful but were good escapism when I was very stressed with work/life earlier this year and I had finished re-reading my normal escape from real life reads Harry Potter for the millionth time. Not a RP fan though sorry MM

Hey ladies - apologies for the hi-jack I was wondering whether any of you lovely lot knew anthing about Naples?

We are spending the day there in a few weeks (crusie), with our 3 yo ds, was just wondering what was must do/see/any tips - is it actually worth getting off the boat Wink

Any knowledge would be most appreciated. Will post this in short-haul too,

TIA

Francagoestohollywood · 25/08/2010 16:03

Hello everyone, I'm back! Still getting adjusted to the sight of Milan, after all the beauty I soaked up in Sicily.

How are you all? and where are you?

Geordiemix, I'm actually ashamed to say that I don't know Naples as well as a good Italian should.

Naples is in fact a stunning place, where the sublime and the Shock go hand in hand.

My advise is to deffo go and visit (but always remember to be street wise), perhaps the cruise will organize a day trip for the passengers? One day is not enough to visit the city (it's big), but surely it's a start. I also recommend to taste the coffee, pizza, the sfogliatelle...

Where is the cruise taking you? Sounds great!!!

OP posts:
Francagoestohollywood · 25/08/2010 16:04

Geordiminx, not mix! sorry!

OP posts:
geordieminx · 25/08/2010 16:13
Grin

Thanks for your help Franca - we start in Barcelona, we have been a here a few times so are sorted - then Rome (cittavecchia(sp)), Pisa, Naples/Capri, then onto Nice and Marseilles.

Really looking forward to it.

Francagoestohollywood · 25/08/2010 16:45

Oh wow, it's going to be fab!!!
Personally, in Naples, I'd visit the monastero di santa chiara...
But perhaps the cruise might organize a trip to Pompei? I'd love that too!

OP posts:
geordieminx · 25/08/2010 20:32

Unfortunately we need to think about ds who is 3.. not sure whether Pompei is a toddler place... in the heat... Confused

Francagoestohollywood · 26/08/2010 17:41

Yes, that's true. However, it shouldn't be unbearably hot in september, and I think that Pompei is traffic free, which in my opinion is great with an active toddler in tow!

OP posts:
geordieminx · 26/08/2010 20:17

You see I am hoping secretly for unbearably hot - we were in the Canaries in May for 5 days and it was mostly overcast - infact we went to the water park one day and it was blardy cold Shock.

Its freezing here in Scotland just now, so I cant wait for some sun on my bones!

Francagoestohollywood · 27/08/2010 09:06

Shock at freezing already! You do deserve some hot weather then Smile
September is usually warm here in Italy (especially in the south), but usually not scorching hot (is scorching the right word???)

I've no experience of cruises, but if they also offer excursions to the islands near Naples (Capri or Ischia for instance) perhaps those are the best places to visit with your son! (the sea is still very warm)
