In court for sexual abuse on a child

Just sounding off really ladies. A close friend of mine has a 6yr old daughter who was serially sexually abused from the age of 3. Finally the case has come to court and I've been there this week. God, it's terrible !! I tell you,some men should be castrated at birth. The little girl did her evidence and was fab, but we know it could still go either way. Gonna be a very long week I think...

18 months inside for something that will have broken that child forever.

What is going on with the justice system?

3 years for a paedophile! People who commit fraud get longer than that!!

The problem is that if he behaves himself and makes all the right noises durring councelling sessions he will only serve half the sentence. Supprised he only got 3 yrs from what you said, he has taken that little girls life and destroyed it. Personal view is that life sentences should be mandatory for slime like that.

But at least he is 'inside' now, he will NEVER cope...

I did jury service recently on a sexual assault case on 2 little girls against a boys brigade member, we deliberated for 3 days and had a hung jry because of lack of evidence tho we all know he did it. v depressing. hope his name is tarnished forever

interesting Moo, we thought this was going to be hung jury too, but fortunately we got a verdict.
