my son twin 2 and youngest, as soon as he sees my car from work rides as fast as the wind to beat me home so he can open my car door as a gentleman should! awwwww

my eldest son 13 and thinks he is ded 'ard lol. saw me pull up in the car today and ran out to open the door and literally pull me out cos he saw me sat there after turning the engine off ... just plain knackered! so he pulled me out and gave me a big hug awwwww

and my hearing impaired daughter twin 1 does well at school and makes me a great cuppa she is slim and tall and beautiful

and they are all great lookin', good mannered and fab and they all still give good night kisses and loves

"auntbessie" has never posted before. Best ignored.

Actually.... MY ds is thee single most gorgeous creature in whole world and I have to say that, although he isn't old enough to say very many cute sentences..... he will be soon..... so watch this space!

SamboM · 19/06/2003 13:07

Pah, the world, that's nothing.

Aren't they all just so lovely though?

auntbessie · 19/06/2003 13:07

I just think this is self congratulatory and what are we supposed to say?
We don't know them.

I am sure I have the right to my opinion.

SamboM · 19/06/2003 13:09

No Auntbessie we don't. But can't we all relate to that lovely feeling that it's all so worth it cos they are so lovely? Do you have to know someone to understand where they are coming from. This is surely a shared experience that all parents have?

breeze · 19/06/2003 13:09

auntbessie!!!!!!.

Agree either someone who has not posted before or a regular name changing, either way comment was not nice nor called for on what I personally think is a lovely thread.

suzyj · 19/06/2003 13:10

love this thread!! Apart from postings from people named after brands of yorkshire pudding....

oliveoil · 19/06/2003 13:14

If you can't shout about your child from the rooftops, what can you shout about? You are allowed your opinion auntbessie....even if it is wrong.... (joke by the way)

RockingRosebud · 19/06/2003 13:15

My DS age 8 is being initiated into Cubs tonight and we've had a personal invite to the school prize giving day as he's won the prize for Academic Achievement. I am SOOOOOO proud of him and will the whole world whether they want to know or not!

woooooo!

SamboM · 19/06/2003 13:32

is that Ghosty?

lilibet · 19/06/2003 13:33

I said ignore her and I know that I should but.......

no, we don't know them, but we know custy and I know that if anyone of my children did anything sweet or loving or kind, she would be thrilled for me too. It's that moment when you look at someone that you have brought into the world and are doing your best to bring them up to be loving and resonsible adults and you realise that depsite everything you're doing a bloody good job and you just want to hug yourself! There is enough crap and bad news both on this site and in the outside world that we should celebrate the fantastic side of parenting with threads like this.

And if we cant congratulate on populating the future with fantastic people what can we congratualte ourselves on?

Enid · 19/06/2003 13:36

auntbessie, you're a silly old pudding

auntbessie · 19/06/2003 13:55

thanks

princesspeahead · 19/06/2003 13:57

ARE you from Yorkshire as a matter of interest?

princesspeahead · 19/06/2003 13:58

Perhaps Aunt Bessie is a childless maiden aunt who is jealous of anyone with nice children.

Oh, and by the way sorry to disappoint you all but my ds's eyes are the bluest in the world..!

hiphop · 19/06/2003 14:00

I think Aunt Bessie is entitled to her opinion also. She sounds like a Yorkshire original to me

auntbessie · 19/06/2003 14:02

Thanks . Princess you are a little smug.

hiphop · 19/06/2003 14:05

Bessie! !

princesspeahead · 19/06/2003 14:06

Isn't what this thread is all about? Us being smug about our perfect children? And why not, as Barry Norman would say!

hiphop · 19/06/2003 14:08

Smug just doesn't feel right

princesspeahead · 19/06/2003 14:09

well it wouldn't be my first choice of word either. I'd have gone with proud or ... well proud probably

auntbessie · 19/06/2003 14:10

overly proud?

auntbessie · 19/06/2003 14:11

Any way I am not contributing to this any more, I have said my bit and I hope it falls off the board soon.
