I did not actually have Pippa - my sister did - my other big sister had Britt ( ahhhh her long grey hair) I had Marie ( I cut her hair in a mulllett) and my little sister had Tammy ( of red haired fame)

We also had Mandy ( Makosi look alike) and Rosemary - we cut her hair and called her Ronald!

Any one else have them - with their TINY little bags and shoes ...I never hear people talk of them ( am I just too old?)

maddiemo · 11/07/2005 13:14

I had a Pippa, weird feet

bonym · 11/07/2005 13:17

Hee, hee - yes I had them - Pippa, Tammy and Marie! I also had Action Girl (female equivalent of Action Man) who had long red hair. I've never met anyone else who had one!

Mamatoto · 11/07/2005 13:18

Yeah Ninah - you have really brought back a memory of their funny feet!

jampots · 11/07/2005 13:20

Pippa - no nipples

SoupDragon · 11/07/2005 13:21

Yep. I had Pippas. Think I had the brunette one and a couple of blonde ones. All ended up with an Action Man crew cut eventually, even Sindy.

I also had Pippa's pony and, for some reason, a wardrobe.

SoupDragon · 11/07/2005 13:21

You can buy them on Ebay - somethimes original, sometimes having been "re haired".

SoupDragon · 11/07/2005 13:22

Oh, and you could colour in the blonde hair with felt pens for a punk look. Fantastic.

georginars · 11/07/2005 13:27

yes! my sister (10 yrs older tahn me) had one and I inherited her. We were mostly interested in the ponies - we had a black one and a palimino one. I believe poor old Pippa was 'punked' by my sister though, but I don't think she faired as badly as Sindy, who I more or less scalped I seem to remember!

I had pippa dolls and the horses etc. My dad made a house for them to live in.

georginars · 11/07/2005 13:37

I had a room in our house devoted exclusively to horses - a stableyard mostly made out of cardboard boxes (although my aunt made me a very fancy stable that I still have) , Julip horses, Pippa ponies, any other model horses I could get my hands on, riders, a menage, dogs, tack, haynets, a dolls house for the riders to live in, cups, rosettes, buckets etc. - it was GREAT! And it kept me entertained for literally hours. Plus, friends and I would have shows & gymphanas. Until all of them moved away and got real horses, except me - humph.
Aaah, nostalgia...

georginars · 11/07/2005 13:37

gymkhanas even. still got carried away by envy of my friends' ponies, 20 years later

KBear · 11/07/2005 13:44

I was a Pippa girl too - never had a single Barbie, I think Pippa was definitely the thing.

cerys · 11/07/2005 13:45

I had a Pippa doll and a carry case. Think I lost lots of the hangers and shoes. Always wanted a Princess Pippa in a green dress. That link has made me very nostalgic!

treacletart · 11/07/2005 16:07

I had a red haired Action Girl too!! She was very foxy, but i really wanted a MAry Quant Havoc doll - if I remember rightly she had a wet suit and a bikini.

ninah · 11/07/2005 16:08

what was the palomino called?

gingerbear · 11/07/2005 16:13

Me! I had the whole lot, and the furniture.
My mum still has one that I made into an angel. She sticks it on top of her Christmas tree every year (looks a bit haggard now I must say!!)

They were better than Bratz

gingerbear · 11/07/2005 16:17

Pete was an ugly git wasn't he?
