What to do when you want a 'baby on board' sign but have blacked out rear windows?

Can anyone tell I'm internet shopping tonight? This is my second 'where can I buy' thread!

I was once told that the baby on board signs were actually useful as if (heaven forbid) you were ever in a car accident and the emergency services see it, they will immediately search for the baby first. IMO well worth having then.

The only problem is that our new car has a blacked out rear window so you can't see the old sign in it. Does anyone know if you can get an exterior sign or do you think the same sign in any other window would still get the emergency services attention (I know they usually look in the lower right hand corner of your rear window)?

Flum no I haven't been watching Big Brother at all - can't stand it so i really don't know what you mean.

dizzymama · 04/07/2005 22:41

Maybe I could find an 'Excess left over baby weight on board'one?

I should have a sign that says "Back off, I'm volatile and might do something unpredictable"...

Twiglett · 04/07/2005 22:42

I would like a 'my other car is a porsche' sign but you don't seem to find those as easily nowadays

Twiglett · 04/07/2005 22:43

failing that an 'At the end of the day the one with the most toys wins' sign

dizzymama · 04/07/2005 22:43

HMC, or 'I've only had 2 hours sleep and I've got AF on board.....tailgate me if you dare!'

maybe we could all have a "I'm a Mumsnetter" one in our cars and honk at each other when we see them!!

Flum · 04/07/2005 22:43

Helsi - The phrase 'end of' was used by one person in the beginning and has caught on in a most irritating fashion (yeah spose I shouldn't watch it then it wouldn't bother me, but I like shouting at the telly)

anyway they say it all the time even when it clearly isn't the 'end of' what they are going to stay as they keep on wittering on and on. mainly Craig, such a drip that boy,.

My friend has a "Baby I'm bored" sign which is quite a quirky variant of Baby on board.

Thomcat · 04/07/2005 22:44

Helsi, fab idea

handlemecarefully · 04/07/2005 22:44

Oh yes, I would really consider having a sign that says I'm a mumsnetter. Seriously, I would!

I could make some out of funky foam and sell them for £1.00 a time - all proceeds to charity - what do you think?

handlemecarefully · 04/07/2005 22:46

It certainly would be an idea for merchandising. Go then - contact tech!

dizzymama · 04/07/2005 22:46

Put me on your list!

How about

"Clunk Clique ever trip .. MNers"

helsi · 04/07/2005 22:48

How about just a circle or wavy shape with a colourful MN in the middle?

I would want p&p but the profits would be sent to say NSPCC?

dizzymama · 04/07/2005 22:49

sheer genius twiglett! I'm lovin' it

OP posts:
Twiglett · 04/07/2005 22:49
