dd 17 is missing from home

hi my dd went to work on fri and said she was going camping whith bf and fam ,my dh saw bf sd on his motor bkie, so i rang his sd and they was all at home since then ive found out dd has gone to salford to see a pal ,whos well known to the police etc so i rang the police up and they said as she is 17 she can come/go as she wants to she wont answer her fone im so upset !! anyone been in my shoes

hi dd is now bk home she got the bus from ecceles to rochdale train station so i went to get her from there ,i did not shout at her ,i just asked her why she had gone and not told me !!ect ,so thanks you every one for your concerns ,im so gratefull to you all xx

You have to talk to her though and make her realise how worried you were and the police using up resources.

she just said she needed to get away to clear her head ,as she has had a bad 6 months lately ,but we have had words !!

Glad she's safe, and that she will hopefully see the distress she caused, even though she probably will shrug and think of it to be 'the norm' and perhaps that you were fussing over 'nothing'.

(Yes, everyone on MN knows it was far from 'nothing' to you, certainly on Sunday, and no contact from her made it all the worse.)
