Help - what am I going to call db if it is a boy?

dh and I want a Gaelic first name for our db. We have a girls name all sorted, but just don't know about a boy's name. We both like Cameron and Calum, but tbh neither really lights my candle. I have looked on loads of websites but can't find anything I really like. Any suggestions?

Middle name will be Hugh, btw.

There are only 2 Dougals - the Magic Roundaboutone and the Father Ted one - either of them a fine namesake for a small boy!

Yes, Fraser's nice - also, how about Fingal, like the cave?

FINGAL
Gender: Masculine
Usage: Scottish
Anglicized form of the Gaelic name Fionnghall, which meant "white stranger" from fionn "white, fair" and gall "stranger". This was the name of the hero in James Macpherson's epic poem 'Fingal', which he claimed to have based on early Gaelic legends about Fionn mac Cumhail.

Oh, no Scottish equivalent so no good, sorry.

This is new to me:

SACHAIRI
Gender: Masculine
Usage: Scottish
Scottish form of ZECHARIAH

Also related to Zachary. Different?

Wasn't it Rab C Nesbitt???? Anyone know what the C was... maybe it was a nice Scottish name, tee hee!

It goes well with Hugh too. I think 3 syllables is good with a single-syllable second name.

Jan... you obviously have given this naming lark a lot of thought!

Is Cameron still possible? Cameron Hugh sounds fine.

Yes and no, jangus - I love doing it for other people, but my kids only have one name each because we had enough probs deciding on one! (In fact I was quite keen on the idea of numbering them and letting them choose a name later.)
