Help I'm a chicken get me out of here.....

Bobsmum · 06/05/2003 10:32

hi
I'm too chicken to post on any other thread apart from the "asking really obvious questions about bf" threads. Don't feel very witty really - not cool enough to get into the yurt, not intelligent to hang around really argumentative religious threads.
So if there are any other non witty chickens who would like to join my thread please do. I'm not at work so I'm not glued to my mac all day but whends sleeps I'm freeeeeeeeee
PS if no one replies I'm off to babycentre.....

Don't worry Bayleaf - that porker Soupdragon may have nabbed our goodies, but there are plenty more where they came from

By the way, hi Bobsmum - lovverly piccies. Sorry, I am gatecrashing here as well as the yurt. I'm not cool or witty either, I just bribed them all with aforesaid Baileys and truffles!

bayleaf · 06/05/2003 20:19

It's not coincidental that dh's company has an office in Belgium - (which of course he has to visit regularly). And if he feels that he needs to return with tokens of his affection then who am I to stop him?
Soupdragon - I hope they sit on your hips ( as they are undoubtedly sitting on mine...)
Dh is off again next week - in the mean time we'll have to make do with a big box of Thorntons Continental.

SoupDragon · 06/05/2003 21:08

Not on mine. I'm a slender as a whippet. (SB34, if you're reading this KEEP QUIET)

willow2 · 06/05/2003 21:47

Bobsmum - welcome - if that last link is anything to go by you are obviously bonkers, and we need more people like that here!

bayleaf · 06/05/2003 22:00

Soupdragon I think I've gone off you.
It had struck me that anyone with a need to acquire chocolate by fair means or foul was probably an OK sort - but I hereby reasses my evaluation.

steppemum · 07/05/2003 07:18

hi bobsmum, I'm new too, I've posted on a couple of threadsm but when I read it afterwards I always cringe! Wish I was as witty as some. I'm not tempted by the yurt, too many real ones round here, but if we could get a cyber Lakeside for a spot of real shopping and a coffee and danish, then I'd be really interested!

SoupDragon · 07/05/2003 08:21

Bayleaf, that's what I love about the internet - you can't see me to tell if I'm lying or not. I currently have at least 6 of DSs easter eggs hidden away for emergencies (mine not theirs).

Bobsmum · 07/05/2003 09:34

ahahahahha so the madness continues at 7:18 in the morning - v impressive steppemum!!!
ds woke up at 7:30am - hurrah!!! Snored all night tho - v snotty with huuuouwwge green boogers - charming!!!
If only he could just snort the snot back up - surely a lifesaving skill so i don't have to keep wiping his nose??? I thought all boys/men had this ability ingrained in their genetic code anyway...
sorry.. no snot links as yet

Bobsmum - your post actually made me gag! The glamorous world of being a parent, eh!!

WideWebWitch · 07/05/2003 09:38

Bobsmum, my ds does this when asked to blow his nose. It is revolting and he knows I think so so therefore gets great pleasure from it

Bobsmum · 07/05/2003 09:52

why are all smileys so pleasant - is there a big stock of them hidden on mumsnet for disgusting posts?

Mum2Toby · 07/05/2003 10:00

Only a sad one Bobsmum.

We need an angry one, a smug one and one with it's tongue sticking out!! Oh and a stoned one for the YURT.

SoupDragon · 07/05/2003 10:07

And a sulky pouting one.

SoupDragon · 07/05/2003 10:08

Here's a site for you, Bobsmum

Chinchilla · 07/05/2003 19:32

yes, I'm up at the crack of dawn, house cleaned, baby fed and playing calmly, while I log on at 7:18 am (after doing ny aerobice video of course!) (wish I could do a winky smile, let alone any of the other fancy ones)

Oh well dream on....

Actually, 7:18 in the UK is midday nap time here, which is my internet time (besides which, if I was online at 7:18, dh would see how much time I spend on the computer!
