I know it is hard to keep up Katzguk. Feel much less stressed right now though. Can't believe they didn't tell us they were putting back on market. We have all been in contact directly for pastfew weeks, and we spoke to them at start of week.

expatinscotland · 08/05/2005 20:12

not in edinburgh. in some areas, that won't even get you a one-bed flat.

megandsoph · 08/05/2005 20:17

Janh · 08/05/2005 20:40

megandsoph · 08/05/2005 20:59

oooooooh i see lol I'm from lancs too thornton, but live in lincs for some strange reason lol

it is lovely here in some areas

feelingold · 08/05/2005 21:36

I live in lincs too and although house prices have increased drastically around here over the last 2/3 years you can still get a decent sized house in a good area for £160,000. I like it here and the schools are good.

BadHair · 08/05/2005 21:45

Come to sunny North Shropshire. A big 3 bed edwardian terrace (like mine!) is about £140, 3 bed victorian semi is around £170-180. Detached houses are much more and mostly modern and crappy.
Schools are very good - the local high school is OK but there is a centre of excellence school (my old one) 5 miles down the road.
