Apart from pat self on back?

I am thinking of retraining but no idea about jobs. Those are the things I'm considering studying - what REAL ACTUAL JOBS might I get with a postgrad MA/PHD in them?

I mean ones that pay money. Any money. But must be money.

Thanks dearies.

Onebat at Bobby Sands Suite

Threadworm · 15/04/2009 12:57

I'm off to see Monsters vs. Aliens now, so Bobby Sands Suite is sounding quite an appealing retreat by comparison.

onebatmother · 15/04/2009 13:00

M Vs A actually quite good threadie, I enjoyed it a lot. The president's v funny.

I'm ENFP. Mediocre but dominated by emotions, seemingly.

onebatmother · 15/04/2009 13:06

Oh, dear that's seems like a raw deal ruty .
You see, that's what I'm worried about.. USD5 to be told that I and Phil Mitchell are psychometrically related..

You can do this for free www.uoregon.edu/~sanjay/bigfive.html but you do need a pencil, paper, geometry set and petri dish to complete it.

Yes, Monsters/Aliens not too bad. I was completely suckered by the opening bit where heroine is preoccupied with husband's career and subject to husband's choices etc. Was feeling all outraged, and then glowed with joy when she became 100 foot tall.

But above all I was amazed by how much Weatherman looked like Meryl Streep.

Swedes · 15/04/2009 20:06

Ballina at petri dish and babysitter

Ballina · 15/04/2009 20:29

ues, you all know me but I am remaining in disguse! ha!

Habbibu · 15/04/2009 20:31

Threadworm · 15/04/2009 20:32

is ues initials of your usual name?

Threadworm · 15/04/2009 20:33

oh is typo

onebatmother · 15/04/2009 21:03

I'm ENTJ but all except the N were 'slightly expressed'.

TBH there were so many questions over which I wavered that I can't really trust it. So many of the answers would depend on other factors, iyswim.

Threadworm · 15/04/2009 21:05

I just did a free version which didn't give me an acronym. It just said I was introverted, neurotic, unconscientious, and open to new experience.

Think I need to pay the dollars.

Habbibu · 15/04/2009 21:06

That's what I thought, onebat - I couldn't decide whether to answer the question absolutely straight, or to just go for what I reckoned they were getting at. For example, in one I tried it asked whether you gave very detailed travel directions, and I do, but I also know that's not really typical of how I generally think and act, so the yes response would be a bit misleading.

I think you'd need lots and lots of questions to iron out these confounders.

onebatmother · 15/04/2009 21:46

oh mine was a free one too - I def didn't get 'detailed travel directions'

On the other hand Habbs, perhaps they know its an unrepresentative thing too, and that's why they ask it specifically? iyswim?

Mine was very vague 'i make decisions based on the current situation rather than possible future outcomes' Yes/No Erm....sometimes? Could you be more specific?

Where is the fancy-pants one then. I'll stump up if Threadie does..

OP posts:
Swedes · 15/04/2009 21:55

here I think it's worth paying the $5 as it has a much more indepth Questionnaire.

Please, come on Threadie and Onebat.

Habbibu · 15/04/2009 21:56

Swedes, I am positively wounded at your lack of interest in this particular internet sprite's personality.

And please tell me why you were asking about DH's initial. Or I shall go and hide back in my Armando Iannucci thread.

Swedes · 15/04/2009 22:04

Oh Habbs, please don't be wounded. It's not a lack of interest at all. I just don't know you sufficiently well (ie I haven't met you in real life) to feel able to comment. And it is a bit confusing to have been given two different pers types, so I can't say I feel I know you better.

Habbibu · 15/04/2009 22:05

I'm not really wounded, m'dear - more taking the piss out of myself...

So do you kids all, like, hang out, n'stuff?

Swedes · 15/04/2009 22:12

Habb - I was asking about initials as I was trying to discover what prize your DH might have won and had turned up two geezers from what I thought was your DH's university dept being congratulated for their 3 year publications sponsorships for a prize.
