Reading the thread about names you would have liked to use but didn't have the 'guts'! Has got me thinking about the people I have actually read about or knew. Here are just a few examples...

Celia Melia (wife of Michael Melia, eastenders Eddie Royle)
Mary Christmas (She gets married in July!)
Chyna Plate (she would have been Daniel if she was a boy)
June March (she is married)

This thread seems to have gone to sleep, but today I came across a couple with a 5 month old called Spike! (Buffy fans I assume, but SPIKE?!!)

Tallulah - the prent's initials aren't S & M (no pun intended) and he isn't Irish is he? If not that's 2 couples.

Actually I quite like it

We once knew an American family who had two kids called Randy and Brandy

And my grandfather used to swear these were real people
Olive Branch
Cherry Stone
Mr Goose who married Miss Gosling
Harold, Edward Arthur David Stone (look at the initials)

My friend worked in the records dept of an hospital he found - Fanny Dick and Pietro Fudcuck . We found them hilarious after a smoke 20 years ago - I still do.

A friend from Australia told me today that there are now 4000 girls there called 'Unique'!!

I managed to destroy an old friendship (and learn a new word) in my late teens, when I greeted the friend's sister (who I hadn't seen since leaving primary school) by her full name which she had never revealed to her new frineds at secondary school: they knew her as Candy - but her parents had named her Candida!

Just remembered, we had a chimney sweep called Mr Christmas and he had a big white beard (for real!)

I know of a partnership of architects here called Duchien and Lelion (Of-the-dog and The-lion). I also had a visit recently from working partners P. McCartney and J. Lennon - unfortunately not as good looking as the real thing (and only the initials of their first names matched).
