Reading the thread about names you would have liked to use but didn't have the 'guts'! Has got me thinking about the people I have actually read about or knew. Here are just a few examples...

Chyna Plate (she would have been Daniel if she was a boy)

Read in the Guardian long ago about a family who had named their 3 kids after the weather stations on the the shipping forecast - Tyne, Bailey, can't remember the other one (hope it wasn't Dogger, German Bite or Light Vessel Automatic), but the big joke was they were expecting a "Forth"...

Knew a Jo who went out with a Mr Kerr - luckily they didn't get married...

There's an estate agent called Paul Orridge...you'd think his parents would have named him anything else. Still, gets his signs notices, I guess.

About Porn Star names: this may be totally untrue BUT - I heard on the radio that instead of being just a totally innocent dinner party game, it is really a way of finding out a person's bank security details - so I would never disclose my mother's maiden name again!
