Anteater why the at me?? You said your self it wasn't life threatening so no reason to speed.

Starbear · 18/03/2009 21:32

Why not go for the appeal, you know you want to. I think you've got a 50/50 chance. know You might gets some muppets that will give you a fourth chance. Take all your doc's with you A& E date, time place and doctor your LO saw.

So you've already done the course to avoid points? Or am I misreading your post.

So there is no way you'll be offered the course now. And you've got 6 points (or 3 on your license and 3 on their way for failing to produce)?

I think that you'll be lucky to avoid more points now. Your driving history is not looking brilliant. WOuld be hard ot argue that of course ordinarily you drive to the limit.

grrr

i see both sides....

makes me extreamly cross that you get points for doing 49 in a 40 in a dual carriage way on way to A&E...
yet the guy who ran me over and nearly killed me who was travelling at 50 in a 30, between the recreation ground and primary school in residential area (next to 'triangle children running across the road' sign) got NOTHING.... no points / no fine (he "had had a shock".... poor guy... not)... BUT had i have died (which i nearly did and they thought i would) he would have been charged with death by dangerouse driving though

"Hi traceybath

did one of those courses in Preston last year
dont tell the lynch mob tho, just keep it to yourself..
bugger
bugger
Had to go driving with wrinkly bloke in his metro city. shudder"

Actually, I hope they throw the book at you. You don't seem to be taking this seriously at all.

The point is not whether cameras prevent accidents or raise shedloads of money, the point is that they catch people who should not be driving that fast. If you weren't speeding, you wouldn't get caught. take the points you deserve and learn from it.

self regulation for road users..?
Self regulation has been worshipped for so long by so many govermnents in the city...

If they had shifted a few speeding cameras into the city dealing rooms in the 80s, 1000s of lives could have been saved by using the £ saved not 10s of lives on the roads.

I am not 'endorsing' reckless driving, just demonstrating that drivers are perhaps an easy target for a government who needs some easy convictions??

Well you are an especially easy target if you carry on driving over the speed limit even after having got points and having attended a speed awareness course.

Originally I had sympathy for you being caught on the way to hospital. As I am sure a court would have if you had presented your case. But unfortunately having already secured 2 endorsements I think that you've burned your bridges in terms of being given leniency when it comes to speeding.
