How many threads is this now?

OP posts:
Berrie · 13/04/2009 08:52

Oh sorry didn't think about that...

Some one linked to aan article saying what a poor role model Bella was and Lyra got a bit huffy.

oggsfrog · 13/04/2009 09:50

I got that far .
What about my Jacob though? Steven Strait is obviously a lot of other peoples' Jacob too.

I found this picture where someone made a poster using his image.
Tell me Edward's hair isn't that colour really .

Berrie · 13/04/2009 10:34

No no it's not that colour.

I don't understand the Jacob thing...are you saying that someone else should play him?

oggsfrog · 13/04/2009 10:45

While reading Twilight I linked to a picture of the person who sprang into my mind as Edward.
After more thought, a few points made by Lyra and reading further on in Twilight and then into New Moon I said 'D'oh, of course he's not Edward... he's Jacob.

Since then I've been googling and a lot of people also think that Steven Strait (the one I linked to originally as my Edward before realising he was actually my Jacob) would be a better Jacob than the one in the film... especially in New Moon when he has his growth spurt, bulks up and matures.

All clear now?

Berrie · 13/04/2009 11:51

Yes, I see, he would be a good Jacob.

oggsfrog · 13/04/2009 12:04

So what are you up to today bad back allowing? Do you have any sunshine?

Did we know Lyra was going away?

Wonder where Zeb is?

Berrie · 13/04/2009 12:09

Today we have had a big shouty row. Apparently I had given DH too may jobs to think about and when rowing speaking to him disrespectfully.
So yes it's sunny but my back won't let me do much. Dh is upstairs and the dc are watching Dr Who...great.

Lyra talked ages ago about booking Sardinia but never mentioned it again. Odd.

Zeb has left us again.

Berrie · 13/04/2009 12:11

We are overrun with rats. They can squeeze through the chicken wire. Rats paradise, food, water. Dh said the chicken pellets were going down quickly. Bet they were - it's banquet for family rat and all their rellies in there!

Berrie · 13/04/2009 12:11

Quite cute though...

oggsfrog · 13/04/2009 12:42

I like rats.

We used to watch a whole family down from grandad with a kink in his tail to the youngsters.
Then we poisoned the lot of them .

Sorry you're not having a nice day .

Berrie · 13/04/2009 12:43

Apart from the fact that I've seen one bite a chicken...what other harm can they do?

Berrie · 13/04/2009 12:44

Might have to go down the poison route...
Where do you get it?

oggsfrog · 13/04/2009 12:54

I think dh got it from B&Q, although I bought some to kill the mice in the porch/roof from the £shop, and it's the same stuff.

It's basically warfarin, an anti-coagulent. Doesn't kill them immediately. You may find a few lying around the place dying but usually they die in their nests.
Not nice, but it's not a poison as such so they don't suffer too much.

They will steal eggs and kill chicks.

Berrie · 13/04/2009 13:08

We've got too many eggs.

I've just seen the chickens eating a big piece of newspaper! That's not going to do them any good. They must have pulled it out of the house.

Berrie · 13/04/2009 16:54

Ah....
DD seems to have picked the tulips and pushed them through the chicken wire and Dh seems to have taken off his wedding ring...

oggsfrog · 13/04/2009 20:56

Oh Berrie , are you okay?

Crappy time for my computer to be playing up.

Berrie · 14/04/2009 08:44

Apparently he took it off because he was moving slabs and he didnt want to damage it.

oggsfrog · 14/04/2009 09:01

You daft bat!

Anything planned for today?

We're also getting a lot of eggs - up to 6/7 a day. I occasionally sell some but yesterday dd made meringues and today I think we'll be having scrambled eggs for breakfast.

Over half way through Eclipse now and am panicking.. think I'll have to go out today to buy Braking Dawn.

oggsfrog · 14/04/2009 09:04

Still having loads of problems with the new service. From what I can work out the satellite connection is working fine it's the settings on the browsers.
I'm bloody fed up. I've spent hours tinkering and we're still not getting pages and a lot of the time the pages aren't fully loading. Gah!!!

Berrie · 14/04/2009 13:20

Oh dear...I'm lucky that dh does that sort of stuff.

Still a bit of a funny day...dh not quite right. We went to see fil who isn't very well this morning and dh is on the sofa now. Poor dc's need a bit of fresh air so I'd better take them out for a run around

Berrie · 14/04/2009 19:35

So which book are you on..the names mean nothing to me either..number please!
Glad I made you start them?

oggsfrog · 14/04/2009 21:56

Oh, very glad , I'm loving them.

I'm over half way through number three and as I said earlier I panicked as I wanted to have the next one ready to start, but the last one Breaking Dawn is in hardback! £12.99 at Tesco and I couldn't justify that, so I'm going to have a look at amazon.

Berrie · 15/04/2009 09:08

Yeah...I got it much cheaper on Amazon.

Berrie · 15/04/2009 09:11

Dh has a hair cut in a bit...I love it long but of a school morning it just seems such a mess Don't know what to do!

oggsfrog · 15/04/2009 09:20

For starters I think you should work on telling the difference between your dh and your ds
