How many threads is this now?

OP posts:
ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 22/03/2009 10:56

Lyra, I've already started on book 2. Get your hanky out. Although I half want to read Twilight a second time, first. IYSWIM.
Actually, her descriptions of feelings and emotions are bang on, and very well done. Far better than most writing for adults. Although I really pity the teenage girls reading this stuff, or rather, I pity the guys who are never going to measure up to young Edward. The girls are going to be screwed up for life.

EdwardCullensWife · 22/03/2009 17:39

I know, Zeb. Poor Bella. I ended up starting on book 4 again last night, bizarrely. There are too many Edward-less pages in book 2 for my liking. And yes, those young girls are going to have impossibly high standards but they'll never find an Edward
I was thinking perhaps people should read Midnight Sun straight after Twilight. It makes it all make a lot more sense.
I've ordered my sister to buy them on Amazon asap. i think she'll love them.
Right, must talk about something else [hopeless addict emoticon]
What have you all done for mother's day? DP is making a lovely roast pork dinner and the boys make me some lovely presents and cards.

EdwardCullensWife · 22/03/2009 17:40

Berrie, how's the back?
To answer your question, it was almost as good the second time. It didn't help with my addiction.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 22/03/2009 18:04

Right. Oggs is obsessed with DT. Lyra is obsessed with Edward Cullen. Berrie's obsessed with... I'm not sure who right now, but probably too concerned about her back to care. Or maybe it's knitting. And I'm just obsessed with fit gorgeous men in general - my life's too complicated currently to deal with anything more specific.

Group therapy anyone?

oggsdog · 22/03/2009 18:35

Oh, I'm sure Berrie still has the hots for the written Edward too .

Group therapy? Wouldn't that be admitting we thought that maybe there was a problem??

Surely it's natural, healthy and understandable to want to shag the socks off admire DT?

EdwardCullensWife · 22/03/2009 18:51

At least your obsession is a living, breathing person that you can ogle, Oggs. Mine is a bunch of words on a page.

Berrie · 22/03/2009 21:23

What are we like?

I love DT Oggs, I really do but I just can't get round the fact that I would squash him were I to shag him and his lips are too thin for a lovely snog.

All packed up Zeb?

My Mother's Day lunch had a caterpillar in the broccoli. It rather spoiled it I'm afraid as I'd eaten most of it..the dinner not the caterpillar. We had lamb.

Lyra, will you get the film when it comes out next month?

EdwardCullensWife · 23/03/2009 00:11

Most definitely. Can't wait now. I've looked at some clips. Most of the characters seem to have been cast well, except Carlisle who's really odd and scary looking. James is strangely attractive. Alice is brilliant as are Emmett and Rosalie. Bella's perfect. A friend of mine has read all four books twice and she's going to come over and watch it with me.
Right, from tomorrow no more reading. Cold turkey. Until the movie reignites my addiction.

oggsdog · 23/03/2009 07:35

Gah! I've lost one of my Doctor Who audio books. Pah! It's the only one I've not heard all of. Can't think where it can be.

I got dd to make me a card last week, and when I went shopping I bought some bubble bath and chocolate and gave them to dh, to give to dd, to give to me .
I cooked brisket.
We aren't really big on day's like these or even birthdays tbh.

What's on this week then?

Zeb will you be cleaning up your now empty/packed up flat ready for moving next w/end?

Lyra, presumably will be catching up on four books worth of housework .

How's your back Berrie? Will you be catching up too?

This place is a tip. I've been neglecting it due to my knitting habit. Not the actual knitting per se but the internet trawling.
Dh was given a lovely upright chair a couple of weeks ago and it has been sitting in the hall ever since. It won't fit through any of the doors. Caravans have very narrow doors.
He's going to have to take a saw to it's legs I think, so I'll no doubt end up sitting at a funny angle in it

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 23/03/2009 08:51

So none of you have actually seen the movie yet?

Oggs, would it be correct to assume that the audio books may be read by DT?

Berrie, what's worse than finding a caterpillar in your lettuce? Finding half a one.... ah yes, the old ones are the best.

I'm a bit packed. I'm taking Friday (and possibly Thursday) as holiday to finish off before the removal guys turn up on Saturday am. The place is a tip. And my fridge just died.

Still, I am vvvv excited to be moving, I just have the hassle beforehand. And of course next Tuesday is my last day at work. So not busy at all then.....

The light at the end of the tunnel is a new series of Robin Hood on Saturday evening. Richard Armitage in black leather anyone?

oggsdog · 23/03/2009 09:03

You assume correctly

New Robin hood you say? Still all the same cast? 'part from Marion of course.

EdwardCullensWife · 23/03/2009 09:12

Berrie's seen it. I came to it too late to see it at the cinema.

Berrie · 23/03/2009 10:46

Oggs, you are not allowed to watch the movie until you have read the book!

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 23/03/2009 11:26

That's telling her, Berrie. Are you going to make her read ALL of them before she's allowed to watch the movie?

I don't know about the cast of RH, but I think most of them are still there, with a few more.

Ooh, James Bond's new one is out today. I haven't seen that either....

Berrie · 23/03/2009 11:46

Er...she ought to really but I haven't. I don't know why she is waiting for HP, one does not Luuuurve HP.

EdwardCullensWife · 23/03/2009 12:11

Oggs, I think you need to get them ordered from Amazon asap. Stuff HP.

oggsdog · 23/03/2009 12:24

Berrie, don't worry, I'm not going to see the dvd before I eventually read the books.
I was responding in the positive to Zebs suggestion that my audio books were read by DT

I must read HP next because I keep seeing spoilers and I won't enjoy the book if I know too much.
I already know about the death of a character, the inevitable pairing up of two characters and the future vocation of another character.

Just read Wetlands. Pfff! Crap.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 23/03/2009 12:33

What's Wetlands?

oggsdog · 23/03/2009 13:03

A crap book.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 23/03/2009 13:11

This cheered me up.

EdwardCullensWife · 23/03/2009 15:30

Mmm Zeb, not bad at all. RPJ is quite lovely for a more mature man. Personally I prefer the dark one with the goatee towards the end. [drool]

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 23/03/2009 16:47

Funnily enough, my friend at work was saying exactly the same thing just a second agao. She says you have fine taste.

EdwardCullensWife · 23/03/2009 16:54

Zeb, are you and your colleagues ogling fit men when you should be working?

Berrie · 23/03/2009 18:24

What are you reading a crap book when you should be reading Twilight?
Trust me it won't take long to read it...just do it...be told...tis inevitable.

oggsdog · 23/03/2009 19:48

Your link takes too long to load for me Zeb . What am I missing? I've been trying all day to see.
If it's RPJ then you can have him.
He doesn't do anything for me, although I haven't actually seen him in anything. Just still photos.

Berrie, was only reading crap book 'cos they had it at the library on Sat. They haven't got Twilight.
I will read it. Just don't know when.
I'll go to the bigger library this week sometime and see if they've got it.
