i decided to look up the stages of heart failure, and have found out what stage peter is in.

its goes so very quickly. and when gp's and other docs at hospital dont listen it makes things worse

has your dh reaplied for DLA?

AFAIK u can reapply straight away.

from the 1st time dh fell ill we have constantly been fighting. his gp at the time told him to go back towork,i took him to a+e, they said if he;d gone to work he would've been in a+e anyway, or even worse dead!

he was put on complete bedrest for the first few days, not even allowed to get up. was wired up to many machines, on 02 etc. at leats atm he is till breathing on his own, and doesnt need oxygen.

his gp had no idea. at the time he was diagnosed, she told him it was his asthma, then asked if he had asthma!!

when he was admitted to hospital, his pulse was near on 200BPM. the gp should've picked that up!!

shocking isnt it. thats why i keep myself so well informed as i just cant let myself trust doctors. its too risky.

we would've put in a complaint about her, but several others already had and she left the surgery soon afterwards anyway.

why dont they listen to the patients? dh was basically told to stop being a wuss and get on with it (that was when the gp told him to go to work). think she was annoyed as it was the 2nd/3rd time we had called her out that week.

Then you get other gp's saying how shocked they are as he is so young etc, and others who dont have a f*cking clue like the 1st doc.

And then we have the wonderful Dr Sams, who listens each time and got dh admitted into hospital the following day, which helped him to gt harefield qucker.

TYhe gp's signed him off for 6month periods at a time. he went on incapcity benefit, and has had medicals with the DWP, who want to review him this year now.

he actually only handed his notice in just before xmas. he was still getting yearly bonus' from work lol. not much, but made us happy.

i;ve got to go to bed. its far too late for me to be up.

you are managing wonderfully through this. I am constantly impressed with your strength and fortitude. Of course there will be peaks and troughs, I'm glad you're feeling a little stronger this morning but don't take that as an excuse not to talk to a counsellor, will you

i'm goign to go on a hunt for dh transplant book later and find the number for the family services. just need to get my head round everything. too much reading on dh condition hurts sometimes.
