slug, really sorry to hear this. I don't know how unexpected your sister's death was, but she was your sister, so whatever the circumstances, it must be so hard to take in. Hope you can take things gently and that the sluglet is giving you some brighter moments.

Just seen this thread and wanted to offer my condolences too. You've recently had a baby haven't you Slug? I hope that your new baby softens the blow of losing your sister a little. I have a friend who lost her sister quite young to leukemia, she takes comfort from the fact that her youngest daughter is the spitting image of her sister! Her spirit will live on in your children. I wish you all the best and lots of hugs for you too. x

Just busy, with HEing and stuff (ds is now 5 so we are 'official' and don't come on here much. Pop in from time to time, but don't post much. I do miss it though, there's lots of new names, and lots of new births since I last looked, congrats to all the new babes

Hi all and thanks for noticing Twink - no I haven't looked at Mumsnet more than once or twice in a month or so - got tied up in an awful ivf cycle which icluded just about every horrible side effect possible - and finished wiht a blighted ovum - so no pregnancy but a body that still thought it was and have eventually ( yesterday) had a hospital visit and drugs to persuade it to 'go'. Bizarrely I feel very up-beat now just because I have had to wait 5 weeks to 'get rid' of this phantom pregnancy so being free of it finally is great!
Am abandoning the ivf site until our next try so may well get sucked back into Mumsnet.
