Nintendogs: I have questions...

DS2 (7.9) is currently in tears because his puppy keeps forgetting its name. How long will it take for it to learn the name because I'm going to send the farking thing to the dogs' Home.

Oh, and can they die? Because I don't think I can go through all this and then the trauma of a dead virtual pet

So the name really has to be said that many times? We thought it was broken or that maybe Cylinder was too long for it to register properly or something!

If the mic is broken it's broken on both DSs' DSs

They are happily building (real) lego now, following a minor meltdown when Patrick's legs were "missing" from DS2's set.

I 'trained' my DDs dogs last christmas, and one of their friends. Took me several evenings ! Very frustrating but better than the tears etc. No short cuts I don't think.

My DD tried to do hers in the car and it just didn't like the background noise.

You may find it funny now Jbck but you won't be smiling when the DS is returned and you have to go through the whole naming process again... Especially when the new puppy is called "EvilMummy".

Thank GOD I didn't buy DS1 this game. I've had enough with Dinosaur Combat and DS1 constantly shoving the thing into my hands yelling 'Intimidate the dinosaur, intimidate the dinosaur'. I am rather good at it though .

It can't be that long because dd1's has had several names inc. Princess, Princess Loveheart, Pink Princess Loveheart and Purple Princess Loveheart Bum Bum Head

Arggh don't talk to me abut this feckign game dd and I shouted 'Lily' about 25 times to get the soft thing to recognise it's name only to find the next time we'd switched it on dp had changed it's name to 'stinky' hence going through the hole rigmarole again and then i forgot to buy water after I took the damn thing for a walk the stress is too much!

Snort @ "Intimidate the dinosaur" and the Alsatian called Killer.

I think our problem is the anger issue - the more the dog ignores him, the angrier DS2 gets and whatever he's shouting at the dog bears no resemblance to the name it was given.

Still, at least it's nor answering to "Stupid f-ing game" so there is a plus side.
