What's wrong with Haribo sweets ??

I've noticed a few times on hear now, people saying things like the dredded Haribos ect.
I just wondered if it's because they're sweets or if they were particulally bad for children? I've always trusted Haribo as it's a very well known brand. If they are much worse than other brands, then I'll stop my daughter having them.
Could someone please let me know.

Hi i am interested to know if any one else has had an experience of choking with their child from a specific Haribo sweet the spaceship or (egg) from the Starmix pack ? I gave my granddaughter a Starmix pack not thinking a problem or concern and was surprised after the choking incident the size of that particular sweet in comparison to the the size of the rest of the mix of sweets in that pack. I would never have given it her if i had known she is only 3 ! Also further inspection of the packaging again after the incident had NO advisory as to age in particular or choking hazard etc, although it did say clearly no artificial colors and kids and grown ups love these. I find this inadequate. Also i question if the sweet is chewable it is so hard !

I got some free in a box of contact lenses, which was a surprise.

Tried one, threw the rest. Disgusting!
