Could anyone give me any ideas please, I need to send my daughter in to nursery next week with a healthy snack and also a toy or object both beggining with N

I just can't think of anything, N is really hard. They give us a new letter every week. They like to keep us parents on our tows.

I'd be really greatful for any sugestions.

What about unseasonable nectarines? I'm still working on the object/toy.

BoysAreLikeZombies · 16/10/2008 19:38

Nanas?

now ill go see if this has already been said!

Sallyallyally · 16/10/2008 19:45

Nectarines? (although at this time of year you may have to get away with a tin of peaches relabelled nectarines!)

As for toys...crikey, it is tricky! Nellie the elephant, a book with a title beginning with 'n', the Ninky nonk thing from in the night garden, noddy, some halloween toy nails (fingernails!), a nappy?!!!

GrimmaTheNome · 16/10/2008 19:45

..if your nursery allows nuts.

Non-fat yogurt?
Rename a teddy Nigel.
Paper and pencil to play Noughts&Crosses?

[start thinking ahead for Q... Quince? Quorn nuggets?]

mummyloveslucy · 16/10/2008 19:46

Lol at nintendo DS.

Noddy or ninky nonk would be good, she dosn't have either of those though.

It wouldn't be the first time I'd gon and bought somthing just for the show and tell sound table.

give her a bag of nachoes just for a laugh

mummyloveslucy · 16/10/2008 19:53

We usually go to a car boot sale on a sunday, so I can have a look there if I can't find anything.
Last week it was S so I found a seahourse for 50p. The nursery were impressed. Everyone else bought snakes.

The snack thing is a bit anoying as she is a fussy eater as it is. Trying to find somthing she likes is hard enough.

nutella and a ninky nonk

fumf · 16/10/2008 19:54

object? - nappy!

Sallyallyally · 16/10/2008 19:57

Blimey...don't go spending money on nursery whims! I'd go for the 'Nutella'...packed full of protein and plenty of sugar for energy! don't worry about nursey nut policies, I'm sure you wont be banned for brandishing a nut related food stuff!
Print off a picture of Noddy off the website.

GrimmaTheNome · 16/10/2008 20:01

My trusty old Good Housekeeping cookery book has a recipe for some oaty cookies which look quite healthy and start with an N. Would you believe Nig-Nogs perhaps not!
