Good on you for speaking up. Not many do these days. I hope you get some resolution. However, from experience, I wouldn't hold out much hope of anyone calling you back...

JJ, I would say that SS deliver a poor quality service because they are not accountable to anyone. They appear to be self-regulating. They also lack money. With regards to the training of SWs, one thing you could mention is for them to refrain from asking parents of SN kids, 'so, are you going away on holiday this summer' (after they've told you all about their jolly holidays).

Even if you rang the police it would still end up on ss's door (opening times permitting)

Where this happened, was there cctv, or any other obvious witnesses?

But lol at this being all your fault. I await for the next whodoesshethinksheis to include the phrase 'doesn't bother to phone the police when she sees child abuse!' [daily mail face]

am loving [daily mail face] >

I told a woman to pipe down once on the bus as she was screaming at her child and she told me to fuck off

I said "charming" in a Hyacinth Bucket way

she did pipe down though

I wanted to scoop the boy up and take him home

Actually, lillymolly, the midwife was wrong. It is an offense to be drunk in charge of a child under 7.

We are in 2008.

Maybe if SS were made more accountable for their crap decisions, more would be done.

Cod

What has happened since?

Am still shocked at the tutting on this thread. There's plenty of threads here where parents have admitted to smacking their kids, and plenty more have sworn at them in anger.

The SS are going to be very busy if you guys had your way!!!

There's ideal parenting and the reality of everyday stress.
