If you do have a glass of wine in the evenings, what time do you have it? I'm just being nosy! Please don't reply if you don't :)

I'll have a glass of wine in the bath after my run tonight, so around 7:15ish.

Floranan · 26/09/2024 17:24

When the children were young I would have one when they were in bed, now they’re adults I like to have one whilst I cook dinner, I tend to have water with dinner but if having wine I have 2 small glasses instead of 1 larger one when I’m cooking. I like a cup or tea in the evening, the wine does sometimes wave at me but during the week I try to remain strong.

I basically try for no more than one glass a night, sometimes not that, on a weekend that might increase

I don't approve of drinking alcohol on a regular basis.

Alright? No one is making you drink alcohol on a regular basis 🤷🏻‍♀️

No one is drinking on a regular basis

If I wasn't pregnant, I'd be having a glass at 5 whilst making tea

Westfacing · 26/09/2024 17:30

Usually around 6 when I'm cooking but this past week I've been 'clean eating' so no bread and wine for me!

NewNameNoelle · 26/09/2024 17:30

Ooh, when I finish work so around 6pm if I’m lucky. I won’t have another, but that one glass is occasionally very welcome indeed!

I don’t see anyone asking for your approval?

Sidebeforeself · 26/09/2024 17:31

Please can I have one now?

Wine and nibbles 6pm. Dinner (with water) at 7.

OutbackQueen · 26/09/2024 21:26

This is so useful to me as it confirms that I really am an alcoholic (sorry don’t mean to hijack the thread.) I’ve been sober for over a year now and am very content. I could never ever have just one drink (or even two.)
I constantly chased the idea of how nice it would be to have one or two in the evening, like normal people.
Enjoy your wine. It’s a lovely ritual at the end of the day and richly deserved.

I have 2 glasses Thur and Fri eve and a bit more Sat. I start having my drinks at 9.30pm and finish at 10.30 or 11pm
