Would you be scared to walk through a graveyard in the dark?

And if you were scared, would you do it anyway?

When I get back to our village late at night after working away I have to take a short cut through the churchyard (unless I go the long way round on an unlit road, which is probably more dangerous in traffic terms).

It is pitch black and very spooky. The worst part is that very occasionally they lock the gate at the far end of it and my biggest fear is that I will get to the gate and find it locked so I'll have to decide whether to attempt to climb over or go back.

Am I brave for doing this or a wimp for being scared in the first place?

No as I have a zombie plan

I believe paragraph six subsection twelve covers walking in graveyards

no I wouldn't be scared at all.

Actually I nearly shagged someone in a graveyard when I was a teenager......did just about everything else and then I decided I didn't want to "go all the way"..bloke was fine about it and walked me home

No I wouldn't be scared. Not in our village churchyard anyway.I'd be scared of junkies ect in a city graveyard, but not of dead people-they're not the ones you have to worry about.

Yes i would walk through a graveyard it wouldn't bother me.

But then my dream house to live in would be a mock gothic victorian vicarage over looking a grave yard.

And yes DH thinks i am mad and will not entertain this dream of mine in way shape or form .

Well I ran through a graveyard last night - just a variation on my normal route. There were a group of lads sitting on the outside of the churchyard wall with their backs to the church. I burst the gate next to them from the direction of the churchyard panting like a steam train - you've never seen a group of people scatter so fast

NomDePlume · 08/02/2008 11:26

Nope. I spent my teenaged years living across a tiny country lane from a village graveyard with lots of gothic angel headstones etc. It was fine.

Next time I might wear a fright mask although I think it might be less scary without than with.
