How's about an experiment in the power of group positive thinking? (We got Peter a heart didn't we, so this is minor!)

DH has phoned to say there is a house being advertised for rent where he works (the advert is where he works... we're not moving into the hospital )

It is £60 a month less than we are paying, and an extra two bedrooms and ORP. Not far from where we are now

We have just had a letter about renewing our tenancy, so the timing is perfect.

Sooooooooooooooooooo - I need you lot to believe that:

a) It is still available
b) It is a long term let and not just 6 months before they plan to sell it
c) They accept housing benefit/I can work out a way to survive without the benefit.

I'm going with an "If you build it, he will come" kind of thing - the power of all of you believing will make it real!

Turns out it is vacant from yesterday, so probably won't happen (we still have 6-8 weeks on our tenancy and can't afford much of an overlap), btu have left a message Keep believing! I want em to see how fab and stable we are and wait for us

Flame u need to visualise..........imagine the removal van taking you to your new house, go and look in the windows imagine signing the paperwork, choosing new curtains/ carpet picture where your furniture will go and that you are happy there for xx years keep thinking this everyday and I bet it will happen.

I'm a big believer in positive thinking, this is a long story but bear with me
I'm the type of person who has goals and i focus on one goal at a time like this...
2003 wanted to get a full time job earning as much money as i could without quals (i got a ft job as an admin person earning 12 and a half K, the most i've ever earnt in my life) then I focused on being pregnant and I was pregnant by 15th Jan 2004 I focused on having my own business, I opened as a childminder in May 2006 next I needed a bigger car (for the business) but I had no money, I was driving around and found a 7 seater on a grass verge on a country lane for £200 which I brought in June 2006 then I focused on moving to a bigger house, i looked into buying but we couldn't afford it one day I came home to a letter from our Housing Ass. (I had put our names down to be moved to a 3 bed in 2005) they were offering us a 3 bed across the road from our current house so I could still keep my business running and we moved in June 2007, I have concentrated on making the house inviting and advertising my business and now I set my goal at new year to earn a min of £1000 per month - guess what? I have just taken on 5 new children with at least 2 more in the pipeline earning me on average £1000 per month!!

So the moral to my very long story is if you want it to happen eventually it will find a way of happening!

My next goal is to maintain my earnings so we can start paying off our debts and enjoying ourselves without constantly panicking about money!

DISCLAIMER - Goals have to be realistic, though dp thought my goal of a bigger house was pie in the sky, reading it back i'm wondering what I could have achieved if i had aimed higher......

It was that kind of thing that I was thinking with the whole of MN believing - thought it would have more oomph than just me.

have just told my mum about it all, and she is convinced we can find the money.

Psychomum knows a girl who's mum does a lot with visualising and it is amazing what she has achieved with it.

Flame tell me more aboutt he girl who has achieved amazing things? I'm wondering if I should aim higher?
