Yeah We got the house - and at asking price!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There were no other bidders. I have felt so sick and stressed all day. I can stop frantiically doing housework and cooking now, and start eating again.

OMG, feel all funny now and not sure what to do with myself

Great news Hula
You must be really happy and the house looks lovely!!!

Hulababy · 19/11/2004 16:50

Can't believe how many MNetters have connections with Sheffield. Maybe you should all have a visit back here sometime to reminise.

Ooo - that'd be good - could we all got the Leadmill (if it's still there) and gret a curry on London Road on the way home....

handbagaddiction · 19/11/2004 17:13

Meant 'go to' rather than 'got!!

tamum · 19/11/2004 17:14

Congratulations Hula! I would have to say that coddy is right IME (much as it pains me to say so ) and the pink thing fades after 5-6. I would be inclined to have white walls and then go completely over the top with pink fluffy accessories and soft furnishings, but OTOH if it makes you and Mollie happy to have pink walls then go for it!

Hulababy · 19/11/2004 17:15

LOL - Leadmill is still there, although I haven't been for years! Tend to go to the 80s bar on West Street if we want a boogie.

Very happy for you, Hulababy.

Hulababy · 19/11/2004 17:16

TBH I think we will have white walls - easier to start with, although have to do something with those wardrobe doors. Her room is white here - but with stick on fairies and palaces, etc. Just going down the princess route this time apparantly. She has already chosen! I blame my sister.

Looks fab and seeing Hunters Bar takes me right back to being a student and living in Halifax Hall! Lucky you.

katzguk · 19/11/2004 18:12

congratulations.

Can i recommend a brilliant paint shop, you can mix pretty much any colour paint you want! we managed to match th colours of our mammas and pappas bedlinen perfectly. let me know if you want the details but its great and cheaper than b and q, all the decorating firms use it.

Hulababy · 19/11/2004 18:17

Cheers Katzguk. Might need that - mind you might also just go for white everywhere anyway to start with.

Painting party anyone?

katzguk · 19/11/2004 18:21

would offer to help but i'm sure paint fumes aint good for me. They sell Johnsons paint which has the best coverage in huge vats!! but i would defineatly recommend for DD's pink room, you would be abel to chose just the right shade of pink.

coppertop · 19/11/2004 18:26

Congratulations Hulababy! That's fantastic news!!!

Unfortunately the estate agents have taken the property off their website so I am too late to have a nosey but it sounds lovely!

Gingerbear · 20/11/2004 01:23

I missed the piccies too, but I am really pleased for you Hula. How long before you exchange contracts and move in - are you hoping to be in before Christmas?
