Right, as antidote to crying ones, which ones make you bounce round like an idiot and pretend you're in a band? Current one is 'Dreaming of You' by the Coral. I'll come back with some more later.

But what about everyone else? And please tell me I'm not the only one who pretends I'm on stage when I'm alone in the house!

Rosy, I've heard of Count Basie. Is he jazz? I won't tell you who I heard about him from though...

sis · 10/10/2002 10:19

All the happy, upbeat Doris Day songs and ones with sunshine in them - Walking on Sunshine, sunshine on a rainy day etc.. and, oh I'm embarrassed to asy this bur here goes ... anything by the Monkees!

I'll go and hide now.

Snugs · 10/10/2002 10:22

sis · 10/10/2002 13:17

Snugs, you have made an old woman verey happy!

hopey · 10/10/2002 13:32

"Isn't she lovely" by Stevie Wonder is a song that my daughter, partner and myself all have a boogie to. And you can't beat a bit of Madonna, my 1yr old loves her!

ticklebyday · 10/10/2002 14:00

Love that Justin Timberlake record - delicish

spacemonkey · 10/10/2002 14:15

oops sorry

lou33 · 10/10/2002 14:51

I'm 35 and love the Abs song too, keep scanning the music video channels for that and nelly so I can have a boogie, and for Just Like a Pill by Pink so I can wish I looked like her in that!God am I having a mid life crisis? I do have dog collars and studded wrist bracelets already - eek! At least my kids are not yet embarrassed by me, but I think dh is getting that way when he sees me singing into the broom handle!

Bumblelion · 10/10/2002 15:32

I love dancing to any song that is playing on the radio, especially with my baby in my arms. She just loves it and has hysterics, although this might have more to do with my dancing technic than the actual dancing.

I used to play "Blue - All Rise" the C.D. all the time in my car when I first brought it and, if I am listening to the radio and I don't like the song they are playing, I always switch to the C.D. for one song and then switch back to the radio. It is one C.D. that makes me feel wonderful, especially songs 1, 2, 4 and 5 and my DS (5) loves the C.D. too - especially No. 5 - sings along loudly to his hearts content.

grommit · 10/10/2002 15:46

the Christmas by dd was born I got Tom Jones 'Reload' (oh shame - music geek dh has never forgiven me) - spent hours dancing around swinging my colic baby to good old Tom (the oldies are the best). Another good one to dance to is Run DMC 'It's just the way it is...huh...'

spacemonkey · 10/10/2002 17:22

sad i know, but Mambo No 5 by Lou Bega never fails to make me bounce

Mooma · 10/10/2002 19:35

Bouncing around the room? It HAS to be 'Build me up buttercup' WHY DO YOU BUILD ME UP, BUTTERCUP BABY JUST TO LET ME DOWN, MESS ME AROUND...You can't see me but I'm dancing already

Willow2 · 10/10/2002 21:20

The Source featuring Candi Statton - can't remember the title of the song but it goes... "some times I feel like throwing my hands up in the air. I know I can count on you." I have to go absolutely bonkers when it's on and sing very loudly. (As video of my b/f's hen night proves).

Ellaroo · 10/10/2002 21:24
