I would elect Brabantia. I dropped the lid of my bin whilst washing it, and they send me a new one. Now (again since washing it) the open/touch mechanism isn't working. And they're going to send me another.

It must be fab working for a company like that - lots of happy customers!

I think Copella Juices are also 'on the ball'. I had a bottle that had started to ferment, so rang them. Next day an apology letter and a £5 voucher for some more.

Amazon - a couple of orders haven't turned up and they have sent out a second order no questions.

Also the gadget shop was very good when a dance mat broke.

Mung · 17/09/2007 14:08

I would add
Baby Kind - keep you fully informed if there is a delay and if there isn't the items get to you really fast.
Express Yourself Mums - excellent advice, service and speedy delivery

Lakeland

fleacircus · 17/09/2007 14:21

Bravissimo. I love them and my sister calls going to their shop a 'pilgrimage'. Was in there on Saturday and having weird pregnant hormonal crying moment and assistant whisked me off for a proper fitting and spent ages on helping me and made me feel like a normal human being and sent me off super-happy and with a bra size that makes me feel glamorous rather than frumpy and is making my backache bearable. Going on and on and on I know but really, anyone D-cup or over, get down there immediately say I.

wrinklygran · 17/09/2007 15:02

John Lewis posted me stuff free of charge when I was recuperating from major surgery

Lakeland did not require faulty goods to be returned, just sent replacement

Sunshinemummy · 17/09/2007 15:18

Bugaboo - fixed my chassis for free when it broke. Have sent me a free tyre and inner tube when I got a puncture. Always answer phone straight away and are super helpful.

John Lewis also - just fab. Always very helpful and keen to resolve any problems.

prufrock · 17/09/2007 15:22

Gaggia, fixed my coffee machine without even questioning how old it was, and paid for the courier to pick it up from my house the day after I called them.

Hiscox - pay out promptly and comprehensively on insurance claims, esp. for high value stuff

Hinkley and Rugby Building Society. Recently remortgaged and they were unbelievably excellent

And lakeland of course - they let me keep faulty stuff too.

HappyMummyOfOne · 17/09/2007 16:02

Amazon, fab service and great on returns when I had a faulty item.

ELC online customer service is great too.

smugmumofboys · 17/09/2007 16:06

I'll second Brabantia - they've now sent mw 2 new lids without any questions asked.

John Lewis. I bought a bargain basket roman blind for a tenner and when I got it home realised that it didn't have any fittings to attach it to the wall. I went back and they took my address and sent me the fittings by post, free of charge! I love them.
