I had to read it several times, assuming I'd misread it somewhere.

In our local trampolining centre 'approprite' clothing and no 'jewellery' must be worn!!

I have a phrase dictionary which has a price sticker on the back that says "DICTIONARIE'S"

jewellery is the correct spelling, no?

I can't tell you the times I've typed letters where the author has put 'would of' instead of 'would have' and things like 'Tesco are' instead of 'Tesco is' even the BBC has been slipping lately - some of their spelling in sub-titles! where will it all end! dh is of the opinion that if the message gets across that's all that matters but it REALLY irritates me!
(I've know I've set myself up for a fall 'cos if I slip up here someones going to shout at me!)

I HATE the random (mis)use of apostrophes!! Our local grocer sells Potato's and Tomato's and I always want to smack him. Hard.

But "jewellery" is correct.

I thought jewellery was right too (unless you're American when I think it's jewelry).

Ahhh... there's nothing like a good old grammar/spelling debate to get MNers irate and ranting

It annoys me no end too. I saw a sign recently about a "Walk for Diabete's".

Who is Diabete, and what possesion of his are we walking for?
