you know this new fashion of leggings and "pregnant tops"(DS1 son's words!)

does absolutely everyone on this planet suit them except me?
I'm small and fat with big boobies and big legs unfortunately.
i brought one of these dress-top type things home a couple of months back and (although both little daughters thought mummy was suddenly being very fashionable)my son (7)told me i looked "ridiculous Mummy".!!!
Hubbie thought the same. He said I look nice in pretty v neck t shirts and skirts.
do i go along with the fashion and buy these things or what?
there's nothing else in the shops(or should I say "Evans"?)I know they're trying to stay fashionable but there are some of us who just don't look right in the sort of clothes only size 8 to 14 do look nice in.

good for being pg though fio, instead of being stuck with expensive maternity wear you can just buy bog standard stuff from primark for 5p. I wear some. But I have been shopping looking for holiday clothes (going to south of france where there is a heat wave) and there is nothing to wear with shorts or skirts.

It looks great on my tall, skinny 4-year-old!

I love these tops, but you have to be careful to 'get it right'. I wear mine with jeans or crop jeans. I have a lovely one from DP, that I do admit makes me look pregnant, but i feel nice in it, had lots of compliments, and dh says I look good in it, so what the hell!

hello LL! I saw Richard and Judy discussing this the other week. He looked quite interested throughout!!

I'm a size 8 and theres no way I would ever wear leggings. Bootcut jeans all the way, I have the most godawful legs imaginable. Fat hips, bums and thighs (think big JLo bum) knobbly knees and tiny calves. I look awful in leggings.

I hope the trend for the tops continues into Winter as I will be pregnant then so that will be good but definitely no leggings here.

Agree that unless you have very shapely legs leggings are not a good look best left to 10 year old girls.

You haven't seen my legs though, joggy bottoms in the house, bootcut jeans or cords outside.

The shape of my bottom half reminds me of a genie coming out of a lamp..but I'm old enough not to care, which probably means I'm too old for leggings. bugger!
