Work was shit even by the usual low standards I apply. Blahness isn’t shifting so to really help matters along I’ve had a bit of a row with DH when I got home. Super.

Those cygnets have cheered me up a bit though - they’re so cute!

I’m watching Lewis Wicked. Don’t know why I’ve never watched it before.

Watched a couple of episodes before. Oxford is really beautiful.

Apricot - hope the headache sods off quickly. The swans and cygnets are cute though.

Cultural excursion went well eventually - we went on a welly buying expedition first, when DS announced that he was hungry and had minor strops because I wouldn't buy him chocolate So we went back home and stuffed toast in our faces, watched some Doctor Who, and then went out again and it went much better. Though he was complaining that it was too hot in the car. Still. Think it went well. then we got back, he plugged into the xbox and I've been working ever since.

DH has just announced that food is ready, so I had best go eat or I will be getting the CBF from him.

PS - Oxford is lovely and full of bloody tourists and students. You seriously wouldn't want to live there. Also, it's bloody dangerous - ref. the body counts in Morse and Lewis. (It's all real...)

Went to see GP this morning for review of my medication. My cholesterol is 5.5 which I didn't think was too bad, but she wants to put me on statins. I've done a deal with her that I'll try to get it down with diet and exercise and she's given me six months to do it.

Went clothes shopping with DD afterwards. She's got a hen do next weekend and wanted to get stuff for that. Absolutely exhausted me, but I suppose the exercise was good.

Better go and find some healthy food.

Have been out with DS, then planting stuff in garden, cooking tea, etc etc.

None - but the settings change themselves at random times, most infuriating. All to do with the hosted servers & out of the control of our IT bod. Who could have fixed it if it were our own servers.

Oh, you need to talk the DH about remote servers he could rant for a very long time on that subject.

So, it's lovely and sunny today. Glorious day to be outside which is why we will be spending about 8 hours in the car visiting far-flung relatives Oh well. It will be nice when we get there. And when we get home again. They're not even near any wenches, so I ca't send random texts 'waving' from nearby roads.

Apricot - are you going to revive the 'Treadmill Instructions' series? (I think that DH is on statins)

We're baaaaaaaaack. Traffic was surprisingly good for end of half term. DS has also done no homework here and it's one of those hideous projects again. FFS.

Apricot - Dr Athos should check you over - jut in case. You'll need to strip of course. If that worries you or makes you feel uncomfortable, you can ask for a chaperone him to strip too.

We have also eaten cremated food BBQ'd today - weather was roasting - hurrah for air con in the car.

It must be because you’re very very tired to fall asleep on the couch Wicked. Annoying though. Or you have an exceptionally comfortable couch.

Hurrah for good traffic! Not had a bad day really. It has just improved vastly by me realising that Good Omens is now available to watch on Amazon! As soon as DH finishes watching the —disastrous— football, we’re going to watch it. He probably won’t like it. I don’t care.
