Well DD & I are OUTRAGED about Eurovision
Our collective favourite was Spain which did inexplicably woefully & I really liked Iceland. DD quite liked Italy, but we hated all the other contenders apart from Sweden who we ended up rooting for. Netherlands? Fucking dull Too many ballad-y songs and nasal singers and not enough glorious hi-energy campness or batshitness - there was only Iceland and Australia. And given that Australia was like knock-off Disney & is about as far away from Europe as it's possible to get, it doesn't really count. And Madonna was as flat as week old coke.

As DD would say 'the scenes' when Iceland displayed their Palestine scarves during the voting - collective intake of breath here.

Am at SportingCompetition It is too obscenely early, even though we're at the local venue. FFS. Plus DH is massively stressed about getting here as always because he thinks that giving himself and hour to get up and on the road is enough - clue: it isn't. So now I'm grumpy and tired too.

Watching Years and Years which was on BBC1. Excellent drama but absolutely bloody terrifying.

DH has asked if I’ve found a shirt and tie (needs a specific sort to go with what he’s going to wear for a wedding) for him because “you’re better at it” and he’s “been asking for ages”. Apparently I have to dress the whole bloody family

Also have no idea about Eurovision, DGS didn't want to watch it and was out in the garden with DH until 9.30.

We've just come back from DGD's birthday party aka BBQ at DS's. It was very pleasant, but bloody cold.
