I really need to some advice on oven cleaning. I have been asked to do it as a favour for someone who lets properties and has someone moving in on Friday. I am being handsomely rewarded but obviously need to do a really good job. TBH when I do mine I am not as thorough as I need to be and it isn't in the state that this one is in. Anyway went tonight to get started and there was loads of burnt on food (yuk, had rubber gloves on) and god knows how I am going to shift it and make it look brand new.
Tips and advice needed please. I really, really appreciate it.
I'ne tried Mr Muscle and wasn't impressed.

Bought some of that oven pride. Looks really good and only cost £3.70. It has the bag in it to put the racks and trays in.

dr beckmans oven cleaner.....its brill!!!! spray it on....wait for half hour to an hour.....then wipe it off!! i used to use it all the time but have since bought a self cleaning oven so only need to use it on the racks and shelves occasionally. you can get it from tescos

I like the Lakeland stuff too although if its really bad it needs a couple of goes and a brillo when its all been softened. Then try and persuade them to buy lakeland oven liners - fab they only need a quick wipe in the washing up bowl - banish oven cleaning (except the shelves) forever - life is too short

Hi

before you do anything put a bowl full of hot water in the oven, turn it on so the water boils and leave it for a while. The steam will start to loosen everything. It won't do it completely but it will help.

I just ordered something from qvc that's supposed to clean everything, including ovens. non toxic too. It's called simply green and it's made up with aromatherapy oils.

Vaseline may well remove mascara from your wall but nothing short of repapering will remove vaseline.
