I've just remembered the best PFB moment ever, honest, beat me if you can

After flying to France yesterday with my three (7yrs, 4yrs and 6 months), armed with a packet of pringles, a few nappies, a fab new ring sling and not much else, I suddenly remembered my worst PFB moment which I must have blocked out until now.

When DS1 was about 9 months old we had booked a holiday to the canaries. Being very informed and clever first time parents we also took the precautionary measure of also booking a Man/London flight for the sole purpose of gauging his "flightability" before we set forth on the mammoth 4 hr real flight. Armed with most of the stock of the ELC we spent the 45min flight beaming with pride as our obviously gifted traveller slept all the way there and back... Dear god, we needed a slap.

I refused to take PFB on a plane until he was over 1 because of what the change in air pressure might do to his brain . This meant the in-laws saw him when he was 3 months old when they flew over then not again till he was 16 months old. I feel so bad about it. Next time I'm on that plane asap!

A woman I know has a lovely large garden. Her PFB is only allowed to play on the patio because of the thistles in the grass! I might add that this PFB is nearly 3yo!

pmsl at this thread
love the one about what happens when children swallow coins!
My PFB is only 5 weeks so ask me again in a year, at the moment everything I'm doing is necessary
But I was a PFB and my mum sterilised all the toys I'd played with at the end of a day. Fair enough, but we had a dog who used to lick my face and share my ice cream!

I so love that OP.

sally, when my phn came to do a weight check at 1.5 months she found dd nestled on the couch with 2 cats and a kitten.

and she was my pfb..... you can imagine how relaxed i am about ds and the cat, he regularly eats his tail

I remember with my PFB (he is now 15) hiding the soft toys when a friend and her very dribbly, sicky, baby came round, then washing all the plastic toys on a hot setting in the dishwasher when they had gone! I also kept a very comprehensive scrap book for him, every flight ticket, train ticket, museum entrance tickets , every postcard, etc throughout his first three years. For DS2 (now 11) no scrap book whatsoever, i feel terrible about that.

Ha, I may be cringing at the moment but I'm comforting myself with the thought of all those lucky current day PFBs who's mothers have lurked on this thread and rushed away to the Ryanair site muttering "fantastic idea..."

I have to say it seemed a very good idea to me

The cycle helmets in car seats has just taken over from martianbishop lying under the baby gym with her PFB as my favourite PFB image

alienbump · 01/06/2007 21:14

Now Katy why did you have to go and say that? Because you knew I'd want to click on your profile to see if you had a PFB didn't you?? That picture of your baby should have a government health warning - I'm sat here with ovaries positively aching! And I'm NOT going to be broody again now I've got three... oh no, not me. In fact I think my husband possibly has that in writing from me somewhere..

But would one more teeny weeny one really make much difference, in fact would he even notice if it was a nice quite one

They're only small, and don't take up much room.
Do you have sound on your computer? Put it on and turn it up loud - I'll soon remind you!

Why not get a polar bear cub instead? Just as cute and will fit nicely into your family
