DS2 has had a massive massive tantrum (for want of a better word) tonight but now seems to be asleep. DS1 hasn’t surfaced from him room, despite many reminders, and has now decided he’s doing some homework. Sigh. The day started off so well and now it’s all gone a bit to pot.

David Suchet is amazing. When he was on Desert Island Discs he was asked about Poirot and he demonstrated how he does the voice and he just sort of faded into it seamlessly.

Just watching Top of the Pops 1985. Last song on is We Are The World. Daryl Hall was in it. I fancied the arse of that man in the mid to late 80s.

Hey guess who’s still got a lot of homework to do and hasn’t sorted any idea for World Book Day despite being off all week with DH? And I did keep asking DS2 what he wants to go as. FFS.

I can safely say that DS is recovered from Jetlag Still, I have (on top of the usual morning gubbins) made cauliflower cheese, par boiled the spuds, got out the joint and prepped pudding. Yes wenches, we are doing.... Sunday Lunch which means I need to carry on unearthing the sodding dining table which DH says we need too tidy. And we all know what it means when a DH was we need to do something. Yep.

Just now I am emailing myself DS's homework so I can print it out upstairs. I am not on MN or anything like that. nope.

Just marvelling at the stuff you’ve already done. I’ve had my breakfast and that’s it.

And FFS re world book day etc. LetUs DS is going as the same character as last year. I have let the trouser legs down by the 2-3 inches that I took them up by last year...

I need to get dressed and have a shower....

DS2 said no to Billionaire Boy. However, inspiration has struck. He’s going as pre-wizard Harry Potter. Pair of slightly scruffy joggers and one of DS1’s t shirts and hoodies, draw a scar on his forehead, pop his glasses on - done. He’s all for it.

Have watched the latest episode of Shetland. It’s so good.

I may be watching in two parts - pre and post DS lights out. Of just watching on delay once DS is asleep. Though actually, ti's a school night. I shall be watching on time delay once DS has been told to turn his lights off. And once he has had a drink. And once he has called down for another cuddle. and once I have told him in no uncertain terms to GO TO SLEEP!!!!!

I love the little arm flap at the end of that Video apricot - it's like a "WTF, I don't know who all those people are either!" visual comment.

DS has already got his world book day costume on. I'm not entirely sure why, but we pick our battles....

I inspect DH’s gardening in the summer by lying on the hammock with a glass of Pimms. Probably preferable to the digging and pooing.
