I went to meet my friend and we went swimming stood in the swimming pool and gassed while DCs swam tried to drown each other (or bobbed about near us, for the non-swimming DCs.)

It turns out, thst the pool has a swimming teacher who, apart from having two legs and a bit chunkier, is the absolute living spit of Jonnie Peacock.

In other news, it is baltic cold (literally I think) and we are spending the rest of the day indoors with the woodburner lit. I am wearing a cat on my lap for extra warmth. I'm not sure who is getting the most benefit

I timed my visit into town well as it was merely cold and windy and not the blizzard conditions we currently have here. DH is out with DS2 at the cinema —having a nap— watching Peter Rabbit.
