Apparently the actor who plays Sandy is local!!

So why is he the only one who talks like he's trying to Scottish?

Ugh

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 14/03/2018 19:31

Scottish accents vary hugely by locality. I imagine that he sounds like he's from Shetland, and not that he's trying to sound generically Scottish. Not that I've watched it of course Grin

Now, where were those HBFs and wine that I was trying to post this morning.... Will see if it works this time...

His accent is proper wierd in my non expert opinion

LetUsPrey · 14/03/2018 19:39

I’m on the phone trying to make a change to my car insurance policy. Can’t do it online - might have been useful if they’d told me that when I phoned earlier today and I subsequently pissed about trying to reset my password which has only worked after doing an online chat - so phone call it is.

Chap on phone is jolly nice and polite and helpful —and Scottish— Grin but FFS I’m losing the will to live.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 14/03/2018 20:19

Wine for letUs I am in homework hell with an ungrateful brat with attitude. DH has gone out, without leaving me anything for tea so I shall have to cook for myself (woe is me, tiny violin, etc)

Please send HBFs (at least three so one can cook tea, one can deal with DS and one can deal with me )
Ta muchly.

Insurance part sorted. Need to phone back tomorrow FFS.

Here you go Helen. One for cooking, one to make you a drink, one for homework, one to take up the final position . I’ll let you decide who’s doing what and going where

etc Grin

Anyway, have RBNR so have read yet again.

You had an eventful day then Badders Confused collapsing children isn't good - hopefully just the sickness bug. (apparently we have chicken pox at school, and Ofsted)

Fingers crossed for the battery Apricot I used to kill mine by leaving the lights on, but then got alarms installed that beeped at me if I got out of the car without turning them off, so it's bee better since then. These days it will be a door not shut and the light staying on inside. Very tedious anyway.

Oh FFS - I typed this about an hour ago.... I'm heading to the hayloft.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 14/03/2018 22:46

Am also heading for hayloft. I need HBFs with strong fingers to massage my back, and anything else they can get their hands on

LetUsPrey · 15/03/2018 08:00

Morning wenches. How is it morning again already? I went to bed like 30 minutes ago.

HBFs worked their magic with their fingers in the hayloft. Just not on my back.

Best get on.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 15/03/2018 09:38

Morning. It's a bit chilly. We have lit a fire and I've put some washing on. Oh, and the Dr says I have arthritis in my foot Shock ow I am home and being a cat bed.
So, that's the day so far. Let the excitement begin....! Any time now would be good...? Nope? Oh well.

ApricotCrush · 15/03/2018 17:49

Afternoon. I'm losing the will to live with scanning these photos, although it's nice to look back.

Oh dear Helen. Dr. Athos says he'll give you some reflexology, and will sort out your other reflexes whilst he's at it. Grin

DH went to the golf club for the AGM so I haven't got to cook. Yay! I'll find something for the microwave for me. Smile

Just seen mamie in an aldi ad

That was...odd

LetUsPrey · 15/03/2018 18:27

Evening wenches.

Well that’s a bit of a bugger Helen. Athos says he can take your mind off everything.

Mind you, he’s also helping Apricot with the scanning. And said he’ll give her something hot, filling and tasty Wink

I’ll watch out for that one Badderz. Oddness.

DH is straight out after work and not back till late so I’m hoping to get at least one episode of Shetland done.

Have —cooked pizza— made dinner and am currently dancing round the kitchen to a selection of songs by Bronski Beat.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 15/03/2018 18:40

Evening all. Athos can test all the reflexes he wants...

I have cooked a chicken casserole because DS has a friend over who needed feeding properly (as opposed to getting a couple of biscuits until he goes home).

Um... I have done sod all of interest, except start muttering to myself about small claims court for annoying customer who isn't paying or returning my emails. Angry I shall send Vinnie and James Cordon on his flaming pig to sort them out.

Go on Helen, get ‘em. Do you want me to do it?

Food eh Wicked? Is that what you’re calling him these days? Grin

Trying to get DS2 to do his spellings. And then his reading after that. I’m tiiiiiiiiirrreeeeedddd.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 15/03/2018 19:23

Right... H-B-F spells...?
And what about Y-L-T?
Now try F-A-F...

Now, there's some very interesting and educational reading on AO3.... Wink

FancyFancy · 15/03/2018 20:04

Helllloooooo!!! Have had a wonderful break - plenty of culture, good food & early nights Wink.

Well that's the best pick of TB I've seen in ages - mostly because of the dog Grin

LetUsPrey · 15/03/2018 20:09

Early nights. A holiday is a good opportunity to catch up on one’s sleep after all.

FancyFancy · 15/03/2018 20:14

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 15/03/2018 20:24
